In today's video, I will be showing you how to buy gas in Japan using a self-service gas station. I don't know about anyone else, but I was so excited about buying and getting my car here in Japan that I forgot that I needed to learn how to buy gas here in Japan; how to use the self-service machine. I literally didn't think about it until AFTER I had picked up my car 🤦🏾‍♀️ 😅😅
One of the challenges of living in Japan without being fluent in Japanese is learning how to use the self-service machine at the gas station. Of course, there is the full-service (you'll need to speak some amount of Japanese to the attendant), but hey self-service can help in saving time and money, so why not. With all of that in mind, I made this video that I hope will help you in learning how to buy gas at a self-service gas station here in Japan.

Yo, thanks for the video. I'm on a solo trip in Japan right now and have absolutely zero Japanese language skills. I specifically searched out an Eneos fuel station and followed this video step by step to fill up my rental car.

The anti static button is such a thoughtful feature in their gas stations. Idk if it comes with stations in other countries, but that's the first time I saw that. 💯
