In part 2 Marcus looks once again at calculating the total earth fault loop impedance of a circuit and explains the elements of the formula Zs = Ze + (R1 + R2). The video looks at how we can add a temperature factor to the calculated values of R1 + R2 which is the the resistance of the line conductor added to the resistance of the CPC. By using the temperature factors found in the On-Ste Guide this means the designer of the circuit can use the 100% values of the maximum earth fault loop impedance found in BS7671 and not the rule of thumb 80% of this value.
