Great work on the sign and video. I liked how you described what you were doing. size of board used and font size would've been nice as your video made me want to make a sign for a gift. finding the right board/font sign combo was a tough choice haha. appreciate that you did say what type of font you used. thanks to you I made my 1st sign and it turned out great as the family loved it. thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

SUPERB. Subbed. Question: Could I use my existing 1/8" shank Dremel bits, with a 1/4-1/8" adapter, to use with my DeWalt DWP 611 palm router? Thanks, in advance.
@steveschrecengost6021 Жыл бұрын
I have used 1/8" bits in my DWP611. I do not believe they were made for a Dremel. Be careful. You DO NOT want the bit to come out or break while using. That could be dangerous. Good Luck!

how do you print it on the wood ...and space them properly?

I do my design with PowerPoint. Then I print it and use carbon paper to transfer the image. I have begun to play with printing a reversed image on wax paper but it requires a lot more setup to work properly. Much faster though.

NOTICE PLEASE: Here is a tip if you are just starting out like I am. All these guys make it look so easy, make it look like it is fingertip touch. Truth is HANG ON TO THAT SUCKER FOR DEAR LIFE!!! Or it will fly out of your hands! They do not look like it, but all these guys have a VERY firm grip on the router TRUST me. =) ALSO: When starting the router on the board, it is important to lay it into the wood at an angle, watch him closely. Nobody seems to tell you this and if you try to punch it straight down on the wood it will fly out of your hand also.

You could just run the sign through a planer and let it take a 1/16th off and forget all that sanding
