I'm sure you noticed the condition of the wood...uh yep...gee that was a total save...we knew you could but man was it scary... you're right though..if you learn to carve on sketchy wood..when you get something nice to work with.. it'll be worth all the lessons...great results Jordy 👏👏👏... Rare is the moments I get discouraged, but it does happen. Your videos remind me I'm not alone in my creative journey. After spending decades in shops as a millwright I wish I started carving when younger. Wood is so much more forgiving than steel, that's for sure. Mistakes can easily be turned into creative difference. Carve on, right on...

If the wood is junk you can always turn it into firewood and get a good piece of wood to carve.

Jordy I found a way to carve wood that chip out take Is diamond bit thin you get them trace your line about 1/8 " it wouldn't chip as bad little trick
