This is going to be a great tactic where I’m at in South Dakota. I have tried trolling with my kayak at about 50-60 feet, and it wasn’t until I was barely moving that I had a hit. I was using a 2oz weight on a slider, a flasher, and a silver #4 vibrax; once I slowed a massive rainbow crushed it. I didn’t have any luck with lakers, but I know they’re where I’m at. This is my next run this weekend. Thanks for these tips for us novice guys! Didn’t even think of jigging for these.

Very similar to how we fished cut-bait herring in the salt for salmon when I was guiding in Alaska. Good information to add to the memory bank for future use! It's really nice you're willing to share these tips & tricks!

@@scottb9387 I'm getting them just from the local bait shops. Where I am now they are stocked up good and back home the Canadian Tire has a full stock of frozen dead bait Cisco all the time
