I finally catch my first Wahoo on camera in this wahoo catch clean and cook. I have caught wahoo trolling offshore before many years ago, but not as big as this wahoo! I was also not high speed trolling for wahoo the last time I catch WAHOO.
I try to show as much information about how to catch wahoo and how to high speed troll so you can learn something and hopefully catch wahoo on your own while fishing Florida.
The Florida wahoo fishing seems like a great and plentiful fish and you just need one to stock the fridge for a long time so you can have yourself a wahoo catch and cook whenever you feel the need for wahoo sashimi.
I head offshore with Dan from Florida Fishing Couple with full focus on getting a wahoo fishing video done. The Florida Fishing Couple caught a wahoo last year so he had some experience with florida wahoo fishing and the verdict is we will be high speed trolling for wahoo.
This is probably my best how to high speed trolling video for wahoo because we actually catch a wahoo! Last time I went trolling high speed I did not catch wahoo. So this is 100% the how to catch wahoo video you need to see!
After a great thrill high speed trolling for wahoo it's time to head home and start the wahoo catch clean and cook part of this fishing florida episode. you need a knife steel to help keep the edge on the blades longer, plus itll help to steel the blade in the middle of filleting

Heiko great job it's a slob.! It looks like it weighs 45 to 50 lb. I believe you guys should have spent another hour fishing to see if you can get another one. But then again your mission was accomplished in great fashion. Just to give you a little tip as far as Wahoo fishing when you find a piece of debris preferably with triple tail on it I will almost bet my life on it there are wahoo on that debris. I usually deploy a horse Ballyhoo naked double hooked on the downrigger about 80 ft deep intro 6-8 knots back and forth in all different directions.. once I find the direction that they are striking I continued that direction and usually pick up more wahoo. It is quite odd that in most cases they only hit when the bait is being trolled in a certain direction. In most cases there are a multitude of wahoo on this type of debris with the triple tail. I have crushed the wahoo on pallets, tree trunks, tree branches, 50 gallon drums, planks of plywood and probably the most unusual was an abandoned Cuban raft off of Key Largo where I caught 23 wahoo between 15 and 22 lb. You would assume that there would be a plethora of dolphin? But we only caught two between the weights of 15 and 18 lb a bull and a cow and those were the only dolphins that we saw and caught. But always go deep on a nice piece of debris that has triple tail on it or any other type of debris that has a lot of bait on it always give it a try. May I suggest a downrigger for your fine vessel. Great job Heiko tight work. lastly I wanted to mention that Captain Dan and yourself make a great team.

I have the same Kore sunglasses and there awesome. Magnets lock them to my shirt when I'm dragging my catch in so they don't fall in the water. I've lost too many pairs of Oakleys.
