Superb, professional with excellent clear easy to understand video. I used the video to change out both struts and associated springs. One item of interest: the current video shoes the mechanic removing the nut off the top portion of the strut, just above the two nuts and bolts that hold the disc rotor/brake assembly. That nut is connected to a suspension link arm, it will come off as shown in the video, but the link arm cannot be removed from the strut until the 3 nuts are removed from the top of the strut tower. That will result in the tension on that one link arm being relieved, which upon lowering the strut assembly the link arm can be easily backed away. Reassembly should occur as in the video, although once you have all three of the top /strut tower nuts tightened holding the strut in place, attach the brake/rotor bolts & nuts , place . Then place the link arm, bolt end facing towards the hole in the dog ear on the strut. You will see that strut bolt is a couple of inches too high. That is because the new strut/spring assembly is extended and needs to be pushed upward. To do this place a small hydraulic jack, with a piece of wood directly under the brake rotor on centerline. Slowly pump the jack upward compressing the strut assembly, all the time watching the alighnent of the hole in the dog ear and strut bolt, once they line up slide the strut bolt through and install & tighten that nut. Great video, it saved me a fortune!!!

Very interesting and gave some helpful tips but a couple of things surprised me. Why fit new springs to old shocks? (Presumably, both sides would have been done). Also, are some of those nuts and bolts not supposed to be set using a torque wrench?

No need to remove the wiper cowl if you use a extended length ratcheting flex head wrench. Thanks for the video though.

It should be checked for cracks or changed the behavior of the car in a turn, extra rolls are possible as well or the suspension will squeeze harder than usual, which also indicates wear of the metal from which the coil springs are made. AUTODOC

@@autodocuk i got fall in a 20 cm depth hole, left fron wheel, the left front car side is now lower 1 cm from other sides.. What r the possible reason plz
