How to Change a LR2 / FREELANDER2 Headlamp Bulb

A quick 10 minute job of changing the headlamp bulb on a freelander2, known as the LR2 in some markets. All you need is a 10mm spanner or socket. You just need to know where the release clip is.

Thanks for the video. Need to change the headlamp on the wife's FLII and she mentioned it was a bit of a faff (my Seat is dead easy as accessible from behind the unit without need for removal). Useful tips to get me started :)

I have an LR LR2 and the directions were spot on with the exception that the 2009 edition uses a 55 watt H11 bulb, but that was pretty obvious once I got the bulb out. Replaced it for $16, pretty sure the local LR dealer would have charged at least $150 for the same service.

Hey thanks for the video! When you mount the headlight back on do you need to allign the headlight on one way or another?

Cheers. Not quite sure what you mean. The new bulb should go on just like the old one, but make sure it is sitting in the right place not tilted. Check alignment at night but it shouldn’t need readjustment if it was ok before.

@@comeinhandynow ok great! My understanding was that headlight assembly can be moved slightly to make sure it's pointing in the right direction. But I am probably wrong. Thank you very much for your answer!!
