How to change Evo X parking light bulb

I found some info in forums, but I haven't found a tutorial about this, so I decided to create one while I was changing them out. I hope it helps.
The bulbs can be found in any auto parts store. The LED's are about $7-$8 each. Kinda of expensive, but well worth it, in my opinion.

I just changed these on my Lancer SE...Far easier to go from the top of the engine bay. You can't see anything, but you can feel around and get the plug out within a minute or so. Getting it re-seated is more of a challenge. Taking the bumper down like this works fine and is way easier as far as access is concerned, but it's not wholly necessary to do to change these lights. That said, thanks for the tutorial, it gave me a clear method to get them out and replace them with LEDs.

Justin Murphy its easier in the lancers SE. Evos have more parts in the engine bay so the space is limited

You can change the bulbs from the top of the engine bay which is far easier,pull expansion bottle up and out to get to the the bulb on that side and for the other side there is one bolt to undo that holds what I think is a small fuse box.Also the main headlight bulbs can be got at in the same way.I know as I've changed all the bulbs at the front in this way on my Evo X

Yeah you can go in the top by unbolting the coolant bottle, I replaced my main headlight globes and park lights.

How do you removed the bulb plug bro? If I try it from engine compartment, I can't see how to remove the bulb plug.

Be wary of replacing with LED style. They won't pass state inspection here in Virgina (off road use only) so check the regs in your area.

I changed mine at the dealer, they reached it trough a pipe of the windshield washer fluid in the trunk; It was just $2925 plus tax.

You dont need to remove the bumper. Just have a look to the service book. You need to lift the white coolant reservoir at the right and the sensor box for the left and you have access from the engine bay

The bulb changing is pretty straight forward and the easiest part. Getting to it is the hardest.

Not necessary, remove relay box on driver side or water reservoir on passenger side, see manual.

I'm not sure I understand your question. There is no 2nd light. There is a reflector, which is the orange plate on the side, but this bulb is the furthest out.

The holder turns left to loosen it and it comes out as one unit, the light bulb itself can then be pulled straight out of where it’s seated…I hope this helps

So can this get you a ticket while driving ?

No, it won't get you a ticket, but it does allow u to use them when you start your car and want your dash on and not blind anyone. It also looks good for evening pic shots with just parking lights on and not full on headlights. Just something I was searching and thought it would be good to make a tutorial instead of searching forums all the time.
