Thanks ever so much! Your tools certainly make it easier! Since this is a very rare task for me, I will probably opt to have the tire de-mounting and mounting performed at the local tire shop than purchase the kit to perform it myself.

That is a slick, robust tool. I wish I had had something like this last weekend while I was replacing a small tube tire on my power washer. The smaller tires are always more difficult.

I wish I had one this piece of kit 2 weeks ago! I fought for over 2 hours to get two 6" tyres off and back on again!

I have the same sealey tyre changer. Ive done car and motorcycle tyres on it. Get the sealey aluminium wheel bar. I have also done a 16 inch 205 4x4 pick up truck tyre on it. The only thing is the rubber on the clamps does not last long. I also put protective plastic over the plate that the wheel sits on to break the bead.

I wish my Husqvarna YTH2348 had threaded front wheel axles. American riding mowers have incredible amounts of slop in the steering and front hub assemblies. The manufacturers simply don't care.

Did you apply a sealant to the rim? I didn't see you use one. Is a sealant not always needed?

Again, what is the model of the tire changing tool stand you are using. I've search eBay and googled what you indicated and I can't find it. Seems many people have asked and there is no link in any of the comments. can you please provide this? GREAT video by the way. THX.

you wont damage the bead putting it on or taking it off but you;ll damage the rim
@MultiShultz6 жыл бұрын
I never damaged the rim using these when I worked in a tire shop. Typically if you damage the rim using this, either the rim is really cheap aluminum or some joke; or you are just beating the hell out of the rim trying to squeeze the tool under the bead. If you squish the tire far enough, you should have no problem getting the tool seated under the bead without bashing the rim up.

Quite interesting. However this may be the easy way but definitely not the cheapest way. How much was that device? I had 1 tire to replace and it was a pain so I wasn't going to buy a special device for 1 tire. By the way how did you ever wear down that tire? it's a lawn tractor. Most lawn tractor tires just crap out from UV light and the constant freeze/thaw cycle. Mine was toast just from all those cycles. I'll keep on looking at other YT vids . But I o appreciate your vid. Cheers fro Canada.

+Funky Farmer How do you mean?
@toxrozzx81586 жыл бұрын
I think he meant the tire was bent as shown 6:50. But that dosen't effect any thing
@genenorwood14536 жыл бұрын
Take the tires to Walmart. They put mine on the wheels for $5 each.
@markthompson41413 жыл бұрын
While you were changing the tires, why didn’t you change the valve stem ? 9 times out of 10, if you don’t change them, you’ll have a flat. If the tires are that worn, don’t you think the valve stem is ? And by the way, the thing you take out of the valve stem is a valve core.

Save more time = Cut the Old Tire Off with a Saw-all !!!
@bulwinkle8 жыл бұрын
You should always replace a nyloc nut with a new one. The old one will not be reliably secure and in this case is a critical part. Reusing the old one is a newb error.
