Since we all live in California, the three of us are stuck at home because of the current pandemic. During this time, we wanted to update you on what each of us has been doing. In this episode, Andrew helps his buddy replace a motor mount on his Mini Cooper!

if you did rresearch..... youd have found the 4 jack pads used for jacking up the car. we can see it in the video under the front of the passenger door.

That’s how I list mine to get it on jack stands… I do both sides too.

I think it would have came out a tad bit easier had you placed a hydraulic floor jack with a piece of wood beneath the oil pan. It would've aided in bolt removal as well as helped in mount positioning during re-install. I think. Just saying.

I’m with you. Looks like you do allot of mechanical work like I’ve done, owning a 03 VW Golf GTI made me a mechanic. These guys helped me do this job on my friends mini with allot less effort. 😝

Always greese the mount bolts when you put the new one in..

Good video I am thinking about replacing this part on mine since my clutch pedal and shifter is vibrating over 3.5k rpms does it fix vibrations in the car?

Nice video... what does the driver feel with the old mount in place? some kind of vibration in acelaration, or what? Thanks!

The car was vibrating under heavy acceleration. The engine was swinging around with that broken mount LOL

My Minni Cooper’s engine mount needs to be replaced after 15,000 kilometers. 😢😢😢 accdg to the service center. There’s a clanking sound I hear during the first moments of idle. I hope they are right and can fix the problem. So from now on I will avoid accelerating fast from stop. Though that takes the fun out of driving my mini. Drove a hilux till 130,000 km and no such problem occurred. Starting to regret buying my dream car. 🥲

These were just stock tires!

I love all the pain you guys went through. So now I know how to do this job with less work. The first rule of mechanics is, get the right tool for the job. 😝👍🏻
