Angie was an airplane mechanic and has changed the oil on our Honda EU2200i generator dozens of times. In this video, she demonstrates how to change oil on Honda generator and shares some generator oil change tips and tricks that will make it easy even if you've never changed oil before (like Ronda).
We purchased the Honda generator to run the power tools while working on our off grid cabin in Alaska, and have used it all winter to keep things powered up. As full time RVers in our Escape 21 Travel Trailer, we plan to take the generator with us when we head back on the road. We'll need it to run the AC (with a soft starter) on those occasions when the weather is too hot or when there is not enough solar to charge up the batteries. It has worked great so far, in part because we change the oil every 100 run hours as recommended by Honda.
Tools needed for the oil change: Large flat tip or phillips screw driver, 14oz of fresh oil, a container for the old oil, a flexible funnel (recommended), and a clean rag to wipe up any spilled or excess oil.
