Worked great in my ThinkPad L460. Thanks! In my case, I needed to delete the S/N data that was already set in the replacement motherboard's EEPROM before inserting the new (and correct) info. However after everything was set, I got a "UUID error" message on restart that I was able to solve after using the "Assign UUID" instruction (option 4 from the main menu).

PLEASE NOTE: When I typed '20' it only allowed me to enter 16 digits. When you i typed C0 it allowed me to enter the full Serial Number. Follow the instructions perfectly. Worked like a charm.

Thank you for sharing. I had some issues with getting my x1 Yoga 1st gen to boot with the USB when I was using windows 10 to create the boot drive. I found that when I use windows 7 and ran the program in compatibility mode for windows 2000 the computer would be able to boot from the USB. My issue is that I need to update the Product ID now. Do you know how I can do that?

Hi I'm having same error message on my lenovo S230u (Twist) Error message is 0187, 2200, 2201 issue with the Lenovo. I power on the machine and i can go into the Bios screen, when i press F12 for the boot menu, the boot menu appears then when i press enter on any of the USB boot ups the machine tries to boot into the USB stick but stays on blank page. That happens with any USB the software you have provided and windows 10 USB Stick.

Can somebody help me out over here I am trying to activate Windows and it says for me to change the product code and I've been looking high and low on where to find this thing I got a Lenovo t400 and right now it's just a paperweight so if somebody can help me out with this please get back to me I don't know nothing about this I used to have a guy that worked on my computer but he's down south now so that's gone down the tubes and I don't know what they mean by it external USB I don't have that so I got to figure out what to do with this IBM Lenovo t400 because right now it's just a paperweight and I can't even activate Windows

M-R TECH I just updated the bios using the latest update tool from the website. But it didn't change anything. I guess MTM needs to be entered anywhere. Status of MTM ist still "INVALID".

I have T510 and that has a similar problem, I made a bootable USB from i7tm38us software and when I boot the system from the bootable USB and select option-1 It shows "EEPROM is write protected." and can't update the serial number. Please help how the EEPROM write protection can be resolved from BIOS so that I can update the serial number. The laptop BIOS is updated to the latest from the Lenevo Bios Update Utility.
