The airflow goes from the fan (bottom) to the top or air vents. The air filter arrows should be pointing up.

airflow goes down to the center then hits the evaporator and heater core unit then up to the vents

Airflow direction-UP marked on the filter should match the airflow direction marked on front of the filter holder -UP.

nope on lexus / toyota airflow flows down the cover "up" is for how the cover is installed on newer oem toyota air filter they added "up⬆️" to ease confusion but aftermarket air filter the airflow needs to be airflow⬇️

also to mention these cars tell you when to change the cabin air filter and theres a simple reset procedre to remove the warning when you start the car

Yes very easy to reset, just hold down the "OFF" button and the OD display will say air filter reset. Thanks for the video..

In the owner's manual it says the filter arrow should be pointed up.... 🤔

So the air flow is from top to bottom. Correct?

@@LiquidRetro Your video didn't make it plain. I could not even see arrows on the edge of the element. You said put it in with the arrows pointing down. That's only true if it said air flow on the filter but some filters say up on them in which case the arrow does not indicate air flow direction. Chances are you got it right anyway.
