I really enjoyed this video. I have used the DRO on my bridgeport for over 20 years but just installed a DRO on one of my lathes.I didn't know about calibrating the tool to the work piece. This will be most helpful. Thanks

i have the 900-3db and cant get into this menu as mine only beeps once, if i press the S i can only get into the resolution parameters, any ideas for changing to lathe please?

I have this same DRO, but the 3 axis. Do these have an internal battery? Reason I ask is that mine reads fine all day long, but the next day (after shutting it off for the night), won't read at all (shows FFFFFFFFF). I have to restore factory defaults, and then reset the resolution every morning to get it to work. Since it works fine, once I do that, I'm wondering if it has an internal battery that perhaps is dead? I can't find any info on that anywhere...

I’m not sure, but my guess is, that it must have a battery

I cannot get mine to work as I only get 2 beeps on startup. The way I got mine to mark diameter instead of radius is using the line compensation in the setup menu, you need to enter the pasword, 3211 to get in, go to compensation i think its x-comp or y-comp, pres enter and you get a value usually 10.0 (moved)press enter again an it displays observed with a number, you need to do this again but when you get to observed you need to put in a value of half the moved amount. this way for every moved amount it will calculate double and display equal to the diameter, you might have to do it a couple of times to get it down to the exact hundredth.
