Whats up youtuber's, I'm John and this is second video I have made in getting my channel started. I have many more videos on the way. Right now in the works is prepping a 2001 Subaru 2.5 rs coupe for an STI swap. Getting 1973 Plymouth Cuda 340 as well as a 1970 Plymouth Cuda 440 both running for the first time in about 20 years, another is a 1973 Ford F-250 4x4 w/ 390.

I have the same Vance and Hines exhaust. I had to put the stock one back on because I just couldn't put up with the noise.

You removed the rear brake reservoir cap for the front caliper.....that doesn't make much sense to me...? The master on the bars is for the front

MotoMedicine this was mentioned in one of the previous comments, I realized I had made that mistake, and luckily I didn’t blow any of the seals in the caliper. I was more focused on taking the video that I must’ve spaced on that.

Hey this might be a dumb question but trying to learn as I’m new to working on bikes. Why did you take the cap off of the rear brake fluid reservoir when pressurizing the front brakes and not the front brake reservoir? Are these lines connected?

Oh wow! Good catch! Haha not a dumb question. I think I was just too focused on making the video. But the front and rear are not connected. When doing the fronts, you should remove the cap then press in the fronts. I’m lucky I didn’t bust the seals in the caliper on mine.

@@gaffersgarage9085 Good call, I just spent 30 minutes checking whether they are connected :D the service manual is 400 pages and pricy, the owners manual is a joke, just says "go to the greedy Yamaha dealer"

Does the bike have to be on a lift or would it be okay if it isn’t?

Alejandro Pantoja it’s should be ok if it’s not on a lift. Just make sure you’re you’re not going to spill brake fluid out of your front brake reservoir when you take the top off and press the caliper pistons back in
