What happens if you remove the chip off the ecu. Will it run like a virgin ecu again.

You make this look so easy. I can get the solder to stick to the socket but not to the PCB.

I know this is an old comment but just for if you still struggling or if anybody else is - heat up the pin that comes through the PCB and melt the solder onto that, it will then melt down and attach itself. If you try to melt it to the PCB you won't have any luck.
