Hope this helps because it helped me. Don't be afraid to use a bit of force to pry them off. Just a bit. They won't break I promise.

thanks man, my space has been sticky for ages and mashing it doesn't do anything. i never knew the clips had to be a certain way around. I used a guitar plectrum to take them off, worked really well!

I accidentally pried on the butterfly hinge whilst trying to remove the keycap and now the keycap doesnt sit upright and bounces way too high when i type on it Can somebody help me ?

Hi man, my "R" button was detached by itself, I was tried to adjust it like your way, but it never sounds "click". Should I buy the new button first? Had you experienced the same problem?

check the hooks under the key. if you have more than 1 broken hook, yes buy another one but if 3 are still in good working order you’ll be able to set the key back on properly and it should work fine. just make sure you hook it properly and remove any broken pieces off the key so they don’t interfere when u put it back

I am learning Russian and saw a set of keycaps on aliexpress with English/Russian. I was scared to replace the whole thing but I saw your video and I think with patience it looks doable. Do you still think I should do it?

I took apart my entire keyboard and put it back and works just like new. it’s definitely doable, it’s on you wether you want Russian keys. just make sure they keys are the right type for whatever model u have, they could be different idk

I said be gentle man😭 Make sure the hooks didn’t break on the key. If it did buying a new set of keys might be the move.

Same method, just pull from the center top of the key. since it’s smaller it’ll pull away easier

those 2 keys have their clips on the left side, not the top as the rest.

The shift key. Are both sides the same? I’m very familiar with taking off letter keys, but I’m having issues with the shift key. I hear the clips clicking, but it’s like it’s stuck to something.

Shift keys and larger keys have more than one hook. Make sure they all hook at the bottom first. Slide it up and down until it hooks then click the top in

@@TheSleepySlayer I have a gen 2 butterfly keyboard, but the shift key will not come off. I hear the clips popping off, and i'm sure I haven't broken anything, i.e. the hooks, but it is adhered to something. Are you sure there isn't adhesive on my model?

one of mine broke off too. if you make sure u take it off and it still sits on the keyboard properly it should be fine. it’ll just be a little wobbly

Don't do it, I tried to follow exactly as shown but ended up screwing up my shift key, now i have a broke butterfly mechanism for that key and its very difficult to find a replacement part.
