In case anyone has a Spirit with rusted burner tubes, Weber should replace them for free since they are under a 10-year warranty. I just had Weber replace my burner tubes for free, even though my Spirit was slightly over 10 years old. Great customer service!

I used your video to completely rehaul my Weber Spirit grill. It was a ton of work, but very satisfying in the end. A new grill costs $700+, but with non OEM parts, I was able to fix everything for around $80. Thank you so much for making the video! 🤟

Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier kzfaq.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster - especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part - the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part - if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.

This was a very helpful video that inspired me to reno our old Weber Spirit II E210 gas grill. The only trouble I ran into was the "heat deflector" that came with our unit. It has to be put down under the "burner tubes" and then the "flavorizer bars" (four of them) are placed over them. I found a different video (a Weber piece) that showed where the deflector was supposed to go so I'm good. This was still a very useful video.

Just picked up a free used Weber Spirit E-310 grill identical to yours that had NEVER been cleaned. After taking it mostly apart, I'm now in the process of doing a deep clean. Easy-Off oven cleaner works very well on the porcelain coated pieces. The vinegar solution is much less effective at removing charred on grease. I am using our dishwasher with detergent (for the parts that fit) and then using a 75% vinegar / 25% water solution with a little better results. Thanks for posting this video!

Will easy off residue become corrosive smoke once it's heated?
@davidstanden480
@davidstanden480 2 жыл бұрын
@@shiningstar2903 I had no problems with nasty smoke because after everything was easy offed, everything was washed with soap and plenty of water. The Easy-Off can be harsh on the aluminum. I did not use it on any parts that were on the outside of the grill.

This is great. One of the reasons I bought the Weber was the die-cast aluminum construction which is so much more durable than the stamped steel construction of other brands. It makes this kind of cleaning possible.

I just got a Genesis II LX S-640 for free, and this is helping me clean it out, thanks. Brother-in-law was trying to burn off some extra gunk inside and accidentally started a fire. It melted some of the little plastic parts, but most importantly, it melted a bunch of the igniter wiring. Anything I should look out for while rebuilding this grill?

when I deep cleaned mine, I realized that there was a special metal coating on the inside of my grill so I didn't scrape anything. I just used the soft side of a sponge and elbow grease to get most of it done and just left the stubborn parts alone. I clean my grill about once a month. once you get everything clean like that, the only thing you really have to do is suck up all the seasoning and wipe out the grease.
