Learn my step by step guide on how to Clean car glass cleaning windscreen without streaks even in directly sunlight on a hot day using no chemicals at all. This video i will go through why you get the streaks on your interior windscreen and guide through one of my tips to get them cleaned properly.
Glass cleaning is the number problem for most car cleaners and this method will not only save you time but save you money as well. So using this method has plenty of benefits such as no outgoings on glass cleaning chemicals and its a quick way of getting it done properly without unwanted residue landing on the car dashboard.

I've avoided cleaning the inside windscreen for years because of the smearing that always happens after cleaning but tried this with an old synthetic chamois I found, which was useless for chamois drying, and an old clean facecloth for drying. Very surprised it did the trick with just water. Thanks a mil for the tip.

Yep, have tried this when you mentioned it on another video you were doing on a supercar, or something like that. I got a flunky for about £6 and keep it just for the car. Works a treat, so far. What I haven't been doing is drying with a microfibre. I have been just wringing out the flunky. So I will try drying with the microfibre, reckon it will be quicker! Cheers,

I shall give this a try. I’m not the biggest fan of glass cleaners either. I use Optimum No Rinse in a sprayer at 1:256. Spray on first cloth and wipe the glass, the finish with a second. Like your method, you have time to buff to perfection as doesn’t flash off super quickly like glass cleaners do, especially when the sun’s out.

Apart from the off-gassing, there is also engine grease that comes through the windscreen defroster. I could never understand where the 'oily' residue came from after using during the winter. Then it dawned on me that the warm air is being sucked in from the engine area passing all kinds of rubber as well as airborne oil particles. I use similar method with a tiny touch of 'Fairy' (dishwasher soap for our over seas viewers) for the grease.

Thanks for showing us this tip Dave, much appreciated! When suitable can you do a show on best use and why the use of TFR, citrus, APC and snow foam. As all these chemicals clean but using snow foam is time consuming an in a lot of cases doesn’t clean as good as TFR. Which brings me on to citrus. Why use it if TFR is available and APC is use inside and outside the vehicle.

I use windshield washer fluid. The alcohol removes grime and grease, though I will give this a go as well as the steam method in your other video (except when the glass is cold as I worry that it might crack). Subscribed.

Top tip dave nice one, got a quick question for you, I'm just starting out & wanna get a nilfisk, don't know weather to get a 140 or 180 only because of the 180 being heaver, what do you recommend please?

Ok, I'm sceptical Dave but I know you know your onions so I'll go with it! I'm sure I have a flunky somewhere in the garage so I'll try it this weekend. I hate doing the interior of front screens, it's almost as bad as doing wheels 😝anything that improves the experience has to be worth trying. Interestingly my XK has a leather dash and the screen doesn't get anywhere near as mucky as other cars I've had. Your explanation may be the key to that

Hello mate. Great tips, thanks. My golf is always fogging up even with regular cleaning and keeping ac on. Are these anti fog products any good or just a gimmick? Cheers
@epicautomotivedetailing
@epicautomotivedetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Hello mate, have you got a leak or any damp? How old is he car? In all the years I've done this business I've never needed to use anti fog. Always keep the heat up. Got can occur from washing when there is a difference in temperatures inside and out. Gyeon anti fog would only last 2 months approx so I'd investigate anything that could be damp first. 👌

When do all the way down into the track so that you can give to the rubber seals and clean those with isopropyl alcohol one wipe across, wet dry before you roll the window back up to clean it Also to eliminate flogging in the winter with a bad heater core, shaving cream unscented onto the front windshield inside, wait a few minutes before wiping clean.
