In this video I show you how I condition my locs after washing without using heavy cream-based over the counter conditioners. I make an herbal tea rinse & steam to infuse my hair and scalp with nutrients that moisturize as well as strengthen my hair follicles. Because I suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis, I am always looking for the most healthy options for my hair and scalp. I hope you find this helpful :)
The hair steamer I use is by the brand Red Pro. I purchased it at my local beauty supply on sale for $80. It also has a facial steamer attachment.
Thank you for watching, liking, and subscribing :)

I know this is late, but Yannie the Locologist name dropped you in a video and I had to come over. I have baby locs and I am looking for ways to naturally moisturize my locs without using heavy creams. This really helped and your locs are super beautiful.

My hair also does not like the heavy products or oil. The steam gives me such bounce and a natural shine.

Greetings. You are my go to for my locs, as you are calm, non chatty and you stay on topic without judgement. Frankly, I'm tired of posers, long intros, lectures on what and what I SHOULD do for my hair, selling products at great expense for the average working (or non working) person and such. Thank you! I also love that your husband so patiently washes your hair.

love the instructional video... this is my 2nd journey after about a 8 year break and i'm looking for organic ways to nurture my locs; this seems like one of the ways to go for me...thank you... i'm in the pool probably 4 days a week and try to rinse my locs each time to remove the chlorine and probably actually wash and deep condition once every 3 weeks; can't wait to try this herbal steam condition treatment. thanks again

I'm only 2 weeks in..total newbie, and I have asked TONS of locticians (professionals) about steaming locs to maintain a healthy balance and moisture...they look at me like I'm crazy. Once my locs have matured, I'm doing it...this video just solidified my decision! Thank you, LC! xo. #subbed

Great Instructional video! I've got the herbal rinse ingredients...now I just need a hood steamer. I've got a QRedew, but it's not enough. I've been looking on and off for a good reasonably priced hood steamer for some time, but the reviews have been sketchy. Have you had this Red Pro for a while?

Can you use essentials oils instead of the fresh herbs?
@heritagewellnessandbeauty130
@heritagewellnessandbeauty130 4 жыл бұрын
I do....All benefits can be got by just boiling 2 cups of water and bring it to boil. After boiling remove from fire and add two drops of your favourite essential oil. Make a tent only for your hair. Keep your face outside. Let the steam infuse the oil in your scalp. Do it twice a week and see how your hair condition changes. No rinsing,,, nothing. U can do this anytime in washed or unwashed hair. Once or twice a week of 5 minutes session is enough. If u want u can style your hair and go to work.
