IMHO the speed that the Extreme/Express' are capable of plus the fact they both can stream lossless audio makes them rather full proof for those of us who stream high quality sound to all areas of our homes. I never knew a Multi Zone 12 Channel Amp existed. Another great discovery thanks to you. I have collected 8 or so good integrated amps over 45 years of listening to music. I use them in the different rooms in my home along with speakers I have collected along the way!! Your way is far simpler & I believe better. Not gonna change though cause those old amps are still sounding good. I have the CAT 6 cabling running under my home to every room. All tidied up & purchased from Blue Jean cable in hopes of not having to replace it in my lifetime!!!

I was able to get this to work on my home network and its awesome. I tried to duplicate this setup at another persons house and I can't get it to work. When initially setting up new Airport Expresses do I want to choose to add to existing network or create a new network? I've tried both ways and in both cases after setup Airport utility does not find the airport expresses. It flickers briefly. I've tried restarting everything, unplugging etc. Any ideas?

If I have a 8 channel amp and use 2 or more rooms to play audio (control4) can I take one or many of the amps powering speakers and group into rooms ? So -1 airplay to 1 amp then say 4 of the amp channels are for living room and 4 of the amp channels are for bedroom?

Why did you connect them with Cat6 instead than just simply using wifi?
