We do that in the Caribbean islands too 😉 call it green banana cocou , peel green banana, wash, cook with slice up okra , then when finish strain add back in some of the orkra banana water, coconut cream/milk, butter and pepper crush enjoy with fish and sauce (we like flying fish) 😁

twinkitten1 i love caribbean ive had food from jamaica,trinidad n tobago and grenada.. we actually call banana in general meika..meika(pi) green banana ripe meika (para)...etc for the different types

In St Lucia they call them figs. Skin on, barbecue for 10-12 minutes, you're ready. Or peel and wrap in foil, same times. Appropriate since the word barbecue originated from the Caribbean.

Yumm ! I'm Kuki & my mother in law is Samoan .i love it when she visit because she always bring island food .so through out the year we keep our weight sustained till she visits Lol

I live in Hawai'i, on the island of O'ahu. In 2004 I went to the Cook Islands with my class. Rarotonga to be exact. Beautiful places full of amazing people and the food is the best I've ever had.

i havent tried green bananas before but have just found about 5 kilos of green bananas cut from the top of a tree (still on the branch) just stood by the rubbish bins here. guess i am about to start liking green bananas lol.

You should cut the tips off the banana and add a little butter to the water. I dunno that's how I was taught, lol. That's my 2cents, hahaha. Looks like a mean feed too!
