Hi, Today in this video I am going to swap a motherboard from a gaming pc. building a brand new pc and swapping a motherboard from an existence pc are not the same tasks. It has more risk than building a new pc. Because you need to rewind everything from the board and from the case and reinstall into the new board has many tasks. But if you follow, this video would help you know the basic guideline to complete your new upgrade.

great video,, keep them coming :) i build my own computers too, its lot cheaper than the pre built ones and much better ,, at least you know whats in it,, and the plus side is you can upgrade much easier,

I have a prebuilt. How will I know if it’s worth upgrading my motherboard?

Depends what stuff u have in the prebuilt and the compatibility for future upgrades. Me personally I’m upgrading mine because it only has 2 ram slots and 2 fan headers. Check what motherboard you have and if the stuff you really want isn’t compatible, then it’s time to upgrade. You can check what parts are compatible with pcpartpicker. I hope this helps

@43 yes all that was weird is I had windows 10 pro activated but when I swapped it didn't say to activate it in the bottom right but when I went to the salivation key in settings it said I needed to but now it has changed and now says in settings it is activated it other than that it was all fine, I just made a flash drive with Windows just in case

This is a downgrade, from a "x" motherboard to a "b" motherboard lol, if you can afford an "x" series motherboard back in the day then surely you're the type that would want another "x" series motherboard now

U are wrong. “B” factor motherboards aren’t necessarily bad. B550-F is comparatively better compared to X470 because of the generational difference. Plus many 400 series Motherboards don’t support Pcie 4.0 GPU or even support newer gen NvMe. 500 series motherboard on the other hand also handles higher clock speed rams better than any 400 series plus they are around 1-2 years apart so I say it is better to upgrade in some cases if you are planning to change CPU or GPU.
