If you're an artist who is accepting commissions, this is a MUST KNOW! The tutorial is a bit long, so here are the timestamps:

For anyone wondering you CAN allow people to send references through the form! If you press "add question" and you click on the drop down menu, there's an option for File Uploads.

lovely video!! i was wondering if you had any advice on how to go about.. getting resubmissions of forms? i want to open my form for 24 hours, close it and then choose a handful of requests to proceed with. and if i were to reopen comms again.. would you personally make people resubmit their forms from scratch? or would you refer back to their previous submission? kind of an odd question sorry but i'd love to hear how you go about this!

I know I'm a year late but I tried this and I had no trouble making the form, but the settings button wasn't by the eye and I'm not sure how to save the finished product. Can you help me with that or is it just like a formatting thing that I have to figure out? Right now the settings is right after the questions bar which is why I'm thinking I didn't save it properly. Yes you can! On desktop there should be a button on the top right that says “Send” and there’s a pop-up that allows you to either send the form through an email, copy the link, or the HTML code to embed it somewhere.

I think they pay first. After the payment is approved, the artist will then start making the artwork

Hello! I'm a small artist and I don't have many people interested in my art. Its not that I'm terrible at it because I've had hundreds of "free requests" before but I just don't know how to get anyone to notice me. And if they do, I highly doubt they'll pay more that 10 dollars for a piece of my art... Is there anything I can do to maybe get some attention? I'm trying to save for college and I have yet to get a job so I thought commissions would be a cool side thing for the time being!

soo I have a question, so they have to pay you half incase they don't want the art no more, If they do want the art work, they'll have to pay half and than the full price afterwards you finish their art???? I am stuck on that one tbh. Also why do our client have to pay 50% half of the price? is it because if they don't want the art no more than I'll keep the 50% price that I wasted my time on them? I am lowkey confused. please help me-, Since this is my first time as a commissioner and I want to sell my art so my parent would have money too. can someone please Explain to me with accurate details?

This is two months late so I'm not sure if you've figured it out already, but in case you havent: It is usually required for the client to pay 50% of the full price to avoid them running away with free art. For example, Imagine you have agreed that your clients have to pay *after* you send the artwork. You are giving the client the chance to take the artwork and leave without having to pay. By making them pay half the price first, you are sort of tying them down so that you can make sure your client will commit to paying you and you won't get scammed!

Was like really childish and would fight in comment section over lil things I was not really mentally stable bc of my cousins unexpected death at that time I was to fight a lot and I act rude to some people cuz I have bad eng at that time I would misunderstood everything and would fight I started to realize I'm doing wrong and I started feeling guilty that guilt got really big that I would feel ashamed that I shouldn't have any subs I don't deserve that and then i started to feel demotivated sm that I quit now I no longer feel happy while making a gacha it makes me remember my past shit... Sorry for talking to much I'm being so dramatic rn 😅

@@Magical_Trash Sure, np! So after creating your commission in google forms you can click the purple SEND button at the top right of the page. Options will show up on how you send it, like copying the link or send it straight to you customer via email. If you dont have any customers right now but wanna you link the form i suggest adding the link to your insta, twitter, facebook, etc.
