This is developing into a grungy delight. I love the simple almost primitive vibe. The muted colors are so pleasing with the jolts of black, coffee, and gold splatters. I am so looking forward to seeing you incorporate your pre made ephemera into it.

I had so much fun with one journal when I did one process at a time-I painted on all the papers, cut edges in all, stamped and so on. I could complete one process at a time and it came together really fast. Your accordion journal was like that, too. I do like obsessing over one page at a time. It is all fun.

This is exactly what I needed today as I am in a bit of a slump. I think it was meant to be because you then mentioned Froyle, I have been binge watching her channel as I have only recently discovered her. I just love her, I am obsessed with you, Luise and Froyle right now! Maybe that’s why I am overwhelmed and can’t make a decision, too much creative stimulation! Barbara, I had not watched your channel for a while and I love your presence even more. You are so relaxed that it's like meditating! @FroyleArt Is one of my most favorite KZfaq artists! I think that she is a lot like you, in that she does a good job of explaining her thought process when she creates, you do this too, and it is so instructive. Also, you both are so encouraging and don't take yourselves too seriously. I'm so happy that you found her too. I am so interested in how this journal is coming together, my brain is really energized watching how you pull everything together.

These papers gave me so much inspiration! I’m getting my signatures ready for my own Journal. I got a box delivered from Sams Club the other day. It was loaded with brown packing paper. When I coffee dye these, the coffee never shows up because of the brown color. So I added lots more coffee grounds and I shook the bottle like crazy. I spritzed some of the pages and then I had tons of bubbles in my bottle from shaking it. So I dowsed the pages with bubbles and went to bed. I figured if nothing showed up, I would still enjoy the crunchy sounds the coffee gives the paper! I was so surprised at the results. The bubbles were concentrated and they came out super grungy and I was thrilled. I sewed the inside cover for my Journal. I will sew the signatures to that page then glue it to the front cover. Doing my pages is really time consuming because I have a look in my head. Lol. I want it all sewn together so I can start sleeping with it. Lol (yes, I know I’m gonna love it that much!) Thanks for inviting us along on your Journal Journey. ♥️♥️♥️

I've never heard of anyone coffee dying their packing paper. It already has color. Why did you dye it?

@@theresa_lili to make it be grungy. Coffee dyed paper comes in all shapes and sizes. Depending on what you do with the coffee, you will get different looks. I just played and it turned out so cool.

@@theresa_lili I scrunched them up in a tiny ball first. Then I smoothed them out before putting the coffee on. I didn’t cover the whole page with coffee. Just spritze part and put the bubbles on part, it’s so fun. Barbara has a video on different things you can do to pimp up your coffee dyed papers. Lol

Each Signature is beautiful. Those freebies papers are gorgeous. I like you added strips of material and did the little round cut out for the tree. Love you added strips of the gorgeous freebie papers and making your own little collage with wall paper. Beautiful. Lot of wonderful goodies added so far. So pleasing and inviting to the eye. For a perfectionist you are doing an excellent job of not pre-planning everything. I must admit I did laugh at how you went right back to tearing rectangles after one free flow. I personally like the feel of rectangles or circles. I’m enjoying watching you build this journal. Oh, I got some craft foam to make a tree! I love the see through tree elements❣️

I love the cute 'peek-a-boo ' features😍😍😍. The colours on the collage fodder are SOOO me! Book page makes a great strong spine. Used it with collal once and could barely fold and crease it 🙈🙊. The pages sound great! How cool using a cleaning product in art!!!!! Oh good idea 💡for keeping the paper strips tidy. Really effective mini collages 😍. Coming along brilliantly😍. I think I need to relax putting signatures together and just go with the flow. This looks enjoyable what you’re doing. I found Froyle a while back. She can get you excited about gelli plates. Her use of color is bold and beautiful. She’s fun and the National Geo paper thing is really cool. Blew me away when I watched that video. To take her freebies and combine with your style is interesting.

What an amazing amount of inspiration for us! Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone and adding new elements. I am going to be using some of these ideas in my current project but like you said, I have a rough plan but once I begin I want to just let it flow. That is hard but it feels so good in the end. The level of ASMR in this video was so relaxing for me. I'm looking forward to the next part.

Another great video. Thank you. Suggestion for the tree cut out page, it ones like them. See the see thru page or glue it to he back of the page cut. Just to add some stability.. peekaboo pages are such great added elements to journals. Thanks for adding it!!
