I think luxury groups should definitely leverage their resources to establish an institute to support young brands! This is what they can do to contribute

@@wooottff Yes you are right! Also LVMH has an incubator to help beauty brands to thrive. It is called KENDO. However, I think there should also be a fashion brand incubator from LVMH :)

Your final comment really makes a lot of sense: Always keep luxury branding, but allow different access points. Coach is like this & even Louis Vuitton/Gucci have accessible price points, since their highest prices are also the lowest quantities, it would not be sustainable to thrive on.

@@yusefimmanuel6377 Stuck on the ground. I have the LLC and now I’m stuck between luxury and traditional. I’m leaning more luxury because of longevity and the amount of duration I’m willing to spend crafting pieces for eyes and bodies to evoke curiosity and explore a depth into one’s being.

Regarding the Fenty situation, I think they didn't give it enough time and COVID just really slowed everything down. They also neglected how important Fashion Week is and the drop system worked fine but didn't help with promoting her collections everytime they came out. The first collection did so well because it has press. People talked about it. Press is incredibly important in fashion. We wouldn't have things like it bags or the little black dress without press. By the time they wanted to do fashion week COVID happened. I hope they bring it back in a few years. All the luxury fashion houses closed at some point.

lmao nono, fenty just had mediocre quality, and wouldnt spend the R&D money to get shit done to satisfy their customers. People only wanted it because it was made by rihanna. Same thing with Rare beauty. Press is important yes, but still, no quality control, or the money going into R&D will kill you. Source - my wife is a lead product developer for a few of Fenty's products.

Heyy Rezal! I would definitely recommend the book "The Luxury Strategy: Break the Rules of Marketing to Build Luxury Brands" by Jean-Noël Kapferer and Vincent Bastien. This would for sure help you grasp the idea how luxury brands operate. Enjoy!

You can't just create a luxury brand, people perspective is what make it luxury, plus the quality of the materials and the "craftmanship" is important to create a so-called luxury brand..
