In this video tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a transparent glass whiteboard in OBS that you can share in Microsoft Teams meetings.
I’ll walk you through every step, in order to create a scene with sources in OBS applying transparency to the whiteboard, and sharing it in two different approaches.
This method will give you the ability to remain visible to the audience, even while drawing, this scenario is typical in the education context for teachers just to call out an example.

Thanks for your wonderful tutorial, is there any software you can suggest, where I can write while being able to see myself at the same time, on the whole screen and I can also record my lessons? Like having the camera and the board plus the recording feature all integrated together? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP !!

Thank you @Yasser for your compliments. I would say that you can use Microsoft Teams with a transparent Whiteboard and record your session, you have all this capabilities in Teams but you can do the same using Zoom or Webex as well.

If I understood your question correctly, you are probably looking for a second monitor. If you have 2 monitors, you put all this setup on one screen and the whiteboard on the other. This way you can see yourself with whiteboard on OBS.

Any idea of how to add virtual pencil📝 to looks like your drive you back of you screen? PS: the pencil may appear(zoom in) when you actually touch the screen.

My whiteboard does not show and instead I get a black screen. I have looked up several blogs that discuss the problem but I have not found a solution. Any advice?

Which of the both ways would you recommend in terms of performance and framerate? I would assume, the Virtual Cam is better since it's a real Webcam and not a screen share and therefore it's better optimized for video. Can you confirm this?

Hi, thanks for your good question. Microsoft is improving the resolution when we are sharing our screen, however the webcam has a better framerate as far as I know. On the other hand, it must be considered that by using the virtual camera whoever presents must have the "spotlight" to be on stage and this comes by default in screen sharing.

@@hunterfrederick2731 We also tried with Screen sharing which ended in a deasaster. Frame Rate of Teams is not capable to show a smooth video (webex, zoom is) - so you need to leverage virtual webcam for the moment - Teams sucks unfortunately
