This is different now. Now you switch to old view, and right under the track name it says Edit Song Facts. At the bottom you expand Albums and add the new one there. *edit I found it under the new view also. Under the song name on the left (on the song page), click "edit metadata".

What if there is no album selection list, but only create a new one? And when I click to create a new album, it is created, but when updated, it immediately disappears, and it always does.

I had the same issue yesterday, I would try creating a new album but it would just not register or something. Probably about an hour later the new album was finally listed on the song pages I was adding. Maybe it just takes a while longer to load than it used to? I'm not sure if the problem ever resolved for you, but in any case, good luck with your editing.
