I forgot to mention, I can only do this when I change the shape from 3d to 2s in the settings. so I don’t need to close the pathway, and you don’t need to do what you did from 12:19

When you change the curve shape to 2D you don't get the problem with the uneven width. So you don't have to convert to mesh and toggle cycle.
