Thanks for the tutorial! Very easy for a beginner like me to understand and my 3d printer fan works again!

Nice length, but poor focus and framing misses the crimping almost completely.

Thanks you are right. Hoping to get better for next video!

@@grizzlybuilds It's hard to find JST-PH videos, you might be able to grab some audience covering that.

From what I could see, when you 'stripped the wire' you took double (or more) the length of insulation off as should have been. If you look up the crimp connector in the manufactures data they show male 3.7mm over all with 1.7mm bare wire and 2mm insulation, the female is 1.7 and 2.3. The end of the wire does NOT pass the small crimp going toward the actual connector, the small crimp is for crimping bare wire, if wire does pass the end of the small it will interfere with the mating connector. It appears you are crimping the small and large areas into the insulation relaying on the mating connector to make contact with the dangling wire, that is not how the manufacture shows it is done. Next is using machine rolls of crimps, when crimping with the proper tool that 'piece' dangling at the end would prevent the correct tool from working. Use IWISS IWS3230M it crimps both the wire and the insulation in one operation. For removing insulation use the Pressmaster EMBLA with the 0.002-10mm jaw, it makes striping 1.5mm of insulation a breeze. That crimp connector is designed for 28~22 gauge. Google JST SM there is a PDF just waiting but it does not show crimping, you have to visit the manufacture, JST really pushes their automated tools, not a lot about hand crimping, I know, SH is the one I crimp all the time.

When you were crimping the female connector, which is what I wanted to see done, you moved it off camera. Wtf???
