How to Crochet a Lightweight Lacy Summer Cardigan, Very Easy One-Piece Construction, Video Tutorial

I am enjoying this summer as never before! I am enjoying the warm days, the blue skies, the flowers, and crocheting (of course)!
I just finished a beautiful, lightweight, lacy cardigan, which makes a wonderful addition to my summer wardrobe. It comes handy when I go for evening walks, it keeps me comfortable! I also grab it when I go shopping as many stores and shopping malls can be a bit chilly because of the AC.
I hope you like my summer cardigan, and perhaps you'd like to make one too!
The construction of this crochet cardigan is very easy. It is worked as one piece, and then two seams are made (one on each side).
You will only need to take two measurements, which I explain in detail in the video.
Skill Level: Intermediate
The yarn that I used is category 2, 100% acrylic yarn.
I worked with a hook size E (3.5 mm)
This cardigan can be made with category 3 yarns as well, but I wouldn't recommend anything beyond category 3. Cotton yarns will be a good option too.

I feel the same about the AC. Many stores and shopping malls are uncomfortably chilly for me even though it's 100+ degrees outside.

I didn't write the pattern specifically for the cardigan because the measurements are going to be different people for different people, as well as different people will choose to use different yarns. This cardigan is not wthat simple and only works if you add inches that coordinate with the sets of rows. You can only add inches in sets, and each set is 8 rows!! Instructions are deceiving for different sizes.

Also be sure to ADD several inches to your starting chain. The item shortens as you work it. My original chain of 42 inches ebded up as 38 inches, and that is crocheting loosely. Now I will have to figure out how to add some sort of lace edge to the bottom to make it longer. Maybe this pattern is better used for a scarf. It does not suit a cardigan.
