Oh I have a ton of granny square patters. I have 2 variegated yarn cakes that I didn’t know what I wanted to make. I’m going to do this granny square. I like that I will not have to change color and will keep on going until I’m out of yarn lol. Thanks for sharing. ❤gayle

Nice tip of winding the tail around.

OH my goodness... magic circles make me nervous, too. My young grandson managed to undo nearly half the centers of a temperature granny blanket I'd made for his first year of life, and it was a nightmare to repair. I've just tried your method of looping the tail of the chain circle back around and working over both the tail and the chain circle, and now I'll never start a granny in any other way! Holy cannoli! Yayyyy!

You'll think I'm horrible, but I don't mean to be: it's just that I can''t help feeling your tute would've been better with a single colour yarn - or maybe a selfstriping one that has much longer colour changes. The yarn is indeed fabulous; but would look a lot better used in big to and fro crochet - a scarf would be super !

Please do this tutorial in less distracting yarn color.
