-This friendly step by step tutorial will show you how to crochet baby booties/Crochet baby's elf slippers/Crochet Christmas elf set/Crochet newborn set for beginners/How to crochet fast and easy crochet baby booties
-The set is made for newborn babies.
***Notes: (1) In case you miss stitches. You should have R11=9sts, R12=12sts, R13=15sts, R14=18sts, R15=21sts, R16=24sts. (2) Where I said R27 at 8:13, I should have written R26. As you keep viewing the video, R27 actually started at 8:54.
You'll need:
-Crochet hook size 4.25mm
-Yarn (red, white, green) 8 Ply (#3 light yarn), 100% Acrylic
How to read a pattern:
*sc = single crochet
*hdc = half double crochet
*dc = double crochet
*3hdc: work 3 hdc into the same stitch
*hdc3: work hdc into next 3 stitches
*the pattern is written in US crochet terms

You do slip stitch into the hdc. Next row/round you work your first stitch in same stitch where you have made slip stitch. Hope it helps

Beautiful pattern ..can you please let me know if I want to make this for a 2 to 3 year old baby ,which size crochet hook should I use? Will there be any other change in pattern ..please note I can't measure the baby foot size as it is a gift I want to make for my friends 2yr old. I ask this for both the booties as well as the hat.. kindly suggest?

Thank you for your comment. I just looked at my written pattern again, where I said R27 at 8:13 I should have written R26, change to red color and repeat R25. As you keep viewing the video, R27 started at 8:54 . It was over an hour video, I tried to make it short and I made mistakes while editing. No excuse anyway. I apology for any confusion that I have caused. Thank you very much for picking it up. I am going to edit in the description box so that others won't get confusion. Thanks again for your comment. Thank you for your question. You can either use bigger crochet size hook or increase rows (stitches). I would measure the length of my baby's feet and work from there, that's how I normally do. Hope it helps.

@Pooja waswani: Measure your child foot. Base on the given pattern, you can increase both stitches and rows. You can also try with thicker/bigger yarn and hook. Hope it helps

there is an error here- either an entire piece of the video is missing or the instructions are wrong. Its correct until row 16.

Thank you! The pattern was tested with a group of 6, I have double checked the instruction since I got your feedback. From R17 - R23, there's no slip stitch, just turn your work. Thanks so much for picking it up. Can you please get back to me & let me know where exactly you got stuck, I will walk you through. @@4seasonshandmade798 At the end of row 16 there are 16 stitches. row 17-23 is 16 stitches chain1 and turn. If you look at the video at 6:28- there appears to be more stitches- did I miss a few rows of increases?

@@alyssacicalese1764 You missed a few stitches of a few rows of increases . Please check at 3:42 from R11, repeat ( ) to finish the row. You should have R11 = 9sts, R12 = 12sts, R13 = 15sts, R14 = 18sts, R15 = 21sts, R16 = 24sts. At the end of R16, there're 24sts, not 16. I hope it helps. Let me know how the booties turn out for you.

This is correct. There are 24 stitches not 16
