I'm back. I had a long break, I know. It was so needed.
Today I’m showing you how to crochet baby booties sandals. The tutorial was filmed step by step and edited with lots of close-up view which is useful for beginners. I hope you guys enjoy making these gorgeous shoes.

STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS
Ss - slip stitch
Sc: single crochet
Dc: double crochet
Hdc: half double crochet
St (sts): Stitch (stitches)
Ch: chain
Yo: yarn over
PATTERN NOTES:
* Written in US crochet terms
* If the number is written before the stitch (for example 2 dc): work 2 dc into the same stitch. If the number is written after the stitch (for example dc 2): work dc into next 2 stitches
* Work *…*, **…**, etc… means that you have to repeat what is written in the asterisk.
* The final measurement: 9cm (3 ½ inches) which is for 0-3 months old baby.

The stitch count on the first round when ai finished was 34 not 24, is that right? I am having some issues with the shoe. When I completed the front part, and I measured 5 stitches back, began my SC, I had more than 12 between markers… where am I going wrong?

My apologies. It was 34 sts on the 1st round. When working on the back of the booties, if you had more than 12 sts it could be a mistake somewhere while doing the front part.

Yes you can, however you need to adjust foundation chain.

Hi... just trying out new designs for baby shoes... I followed every step but I had 7cm not 9cm at the end of the sole.... could you please help me out with how the whole calculations work? Was hoping to make one for my niece... she'd be 9months in the next two weeks... please help! Ps: I love your videos

Hi there, The booties are made for 0-3 months. It’s important to pay attention to your tension, your sole was 2cm smaller/shorter which was a big difference. You could try by using hdc instead of sc. Good luck

I can’t explain it all here. A Few things you could try such as measuring your child’s foot length, appx.14cm for 18-24 month. You can try this with a bigger hook (4.00mm), change sc stitches into hdc instead .Just play with different numbers of foundation chain. The rest is follow the principle of pattern

You don’t really explain how to end the row after the puff stitches. For the following rows , I’m assuming I slip stitch two after ? and the little stars *…* don’t help why not just put “puff stitch” . Very confusing for a beginner

You can either use bigger hook (2.5mm) or increase foundation chain (chain 15/16) and follow the principle of the pattern. FYI: 3-6 (6-9, 9-12) month: sole length appx 10 (11, 12)cm
