Learn how to crochet fan stitch baby booties in this video. I am making for 3-6 months old baby, other sizes are mentioned below.
Using sport weight 100% acrylic yarn with 4mm hook.
Music taken from youtube audio library.
Abbreviations:
ch - chain
chs - chains
sl st - slip stitch
sp - space
lp - loop
lps - loops
hdc - half double crochet
hdc2tog - half double crochet 2 together
dc - double crochet
dc2tog - double crochet 2 together
st - stitch
sts - stitches
For other sizes:
0 - 3 months use 3.5mm crochet hook
3 - 6 months use 4mm crochet hook
6 - 9 months use 4.5mm crochet hook
9 - 12 months use 5mm crochet hook
Sole Length Sizes:
0 - 3 months - 3.5"
3 - 6 months - 4"
6 - 9 months - 4.5"
9 - 12 months - 5"
Written Pattern:
Round 1: Ch13, 2dc in 4th ch from hook. 1dc in next 8chs. Work 6dc in next ch. Working on the oppostie side, work 1dc in next 8sts. Work 3dc in next st, sl st in 3rd ch to join. (28dc)
Round 2: Ch3(counts as dc), dc in same st as ch3 made. 2dc in next 2dc. 1dc in next 8dc. Work 2dc in next 6dc. 1dc in next 8dc. Work 2dc in next 3dc. sl st in 3rd ch to join. (40dc)
Round 3: Ch3, working in back loops only, 1dc in next 16sts. Skip next 2sts, 3dc in next st, 4dc in next st, skip next 2sts, 1dc in next 17sts. sl st in 3rd ch to join. (41dc)
Round 4: Ch3, 1dc in next 9dc, dc2tog 2times, dc3tog, skip next 3sts, 7dc in next st, skip next 3dc, dc3tog, dc2tog 2times, 1dc in next 10dc. sl st in 3rd ch to join. (33dc)
Round 5: Ch3, 1dc in next 10dc. dc2tog, skip next 3sts, 7dc in next st, skip next 3dc, dc2tog, 1dc in next 11dc. sl st in 3rd ch to join. (31dc)

Such Adorable baby shoes!! Oh my goodness I've made several pairs already! This is a Great Tutorial 👍 and the pattern was easy to remember so I'm going to make them in many colors and add beads , ribbon, buttons for different seasonal happenings ! I'm quite pleased with myself that I made them and will make more ! Thank you very much for sharing this pattern tutorial with us all!!

These are beautiful I have made them twice now but had to in do them both times as keep going off Centre. Any chance you could tell me how many stitches at the end of each roll please as new to crocheting finding it hard to see where you count yr first stitch after Ch. do you use the slip st each time for yr first st. Or it there a written pattern I could use please ❤x
