I'm a beginner. I used a UK 6 which is a US 10 cr needle + a yarn fitting for this hook. Once I did the full double crochet into each SINGLE bk stitch around the e whole foot area & it then began to turn upwards - followed the number of stitches exactly - i then had a 16cm length and 8 cm width- NOT FLATTENED- shaping upwards into the beginnings of a large sock suiting possibly a 5yr old child. The best part--i ve a sighthound. Their ankles are on the FRONT LIKE OUR KNEES on their front legs ( & have been putting off yet collecting all i need for leather hunting boots. Protection from various barbed wire cuts, salt & wet feet which MANY hounds dislike. His shoulder to tail length is 27 inches & he is 28kilos of a mighty machine. I digress. The 'sock' followed til 9 and a half minutes of the tutorial fits exactly over the front of his ankle and foot and snuggly around his claws. His heel and pads behind are exposed and im sure i can chain across linking the width 4cm down from the front of his ankle. 2 stitches would do it & then I ll learn how to close the open OVAL shape over the base of his foot. This is an EXCELLENT WAY TO MAKE A SOCK FOR YOUR HOUNDS FRONT LEGS. Back legs will b slimmer and longer with an ankle higher ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE BK LEG. I MADE ANKLE WARMERS WITH A SIMPLE STRETCHY STITCH THAT COULD, with some imagination be added on above the ankle towards the knee for a long sock regardless of boot size. Or if u wish to buy the v expensive silicone wellingtons for your dog or hound this is the perfect pattern to adjust once u have been learning for a few wks. THANKYOU SOOOO MUCH. SALAMA LYKM. ✌️❤️🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Mine came out a bit bigger because I did not see that a 4mm hook was used and I used a 5mm but they are perfect for a bigger baby foot like six months. I have tried so many other videos and the sole part never comes out right. Even with a bigger hook these came out perfectly! Thank you and I look forward to more of your videos!!!
