#Back pain is an all-consuming experience. You will not realize how much you depend on your back on a daily basis until it is “#injured”. And when it is, you will feel crippled. It is also an emotionally intimidating experience, especially for people who use movement to turn down or turn off their negative emotions.

Honestly, I completely agree with this. I've suffered from extremely serious back pain, and during quarantine, I quit my high-pressure job, evaluated my lifestyle, and uncovered/dealt with a lot of hidden emotional pain, which, coupled with a healthy, physical lifestyle, actually helped my back pain that's persisted for half a decade, DISAPPEAR. This video is the TRUTH! It's not just about getting rid of the pain, it's about dealing with the underlying emotional pain that caused it! Thank you Teal!!

As a massage therapist and former back pain sufferer I realised this a while ago, this is truth!!
@mikkovaan8636
@mikkovaan8636 3 жыл бұрын
This made me question if I should continue my training as a massage therapist. I was already in on this mental-physical-emotional-spiritual interlinking, but didn't think too deeply about it. Not solving the root cause can perpetuate the problem, that's my problem with becoming a massage therapist, that I'd feel forced to solve the physical aspect and that way perhaps perpetuate the problem. Perhaps I just need to study psychology and Teal's lessons to incorporate the less tangible aspects to the work.
@lindsayobrien7950
@lindsayobrien7950 3 жыл бұрын
@@mikkovaan8636 this is my dilemma now too! If people don't look to the root cause the back problems will return. The power of touch is very powerful and healing in the fact that you intrust yourself to another and allow yourself to yield, so that's something. Maybe we can talk to our clients and suggest them to listen to Teal. After all we are here to be in service to each other for their upmost health ♥️

I've been suffering from back pain for the past few years now and I'm only 25. Lately I have been thinking a lot about all the different ways that this could be a result of my emotional issues. Listening to you so eloquently validate insights that I previously had but wasn't quite sure about, and also giving me new perceptions provided me with a lot of clarity and direction to really want to deal with the root cause of this. Teal, you make my internet bill worth paying.

This is also true for chronic digestive symptoms & headaches & other chronic pain such as fatigue/anxiety/depression/nerve stuff/etc. with no (medical) explanation, and even with some (medical) explanation. For those suffering, research mind-body healing (Dr. John Sarno, Nicole Sachs, and many more people guiding the process in addition to Teal). Not to say it's easy to just release repressed emotion and patterns of perfectionism, saying yes when we mean no, and also the realization of ancestral / childhood trauma, etc.- it's a process, but it's absolutely possible- I'm in the process and it's working- as long as I'm patient and loving with myself. Thanks Teal - this is absolute true.

I realized my back pain is a result of wanting to be seen as a “good person”, because growing up I was taught a “good person” always says yes no matter how I feel, is “nice” to everyone even if that means betraying the Self, and always being happy/strong for other people (basically faulty belief: Love is Conditional)... now it’s time to take care of the Self, because I am a person too & I deserve it, & that will never be taken away ❤️

Thank you Teal for this confirmation video. 💞 I realized this mental-physical pain connection years ago after i became partially paralyzed for 3 months after an accident ... It was after nearly losing a parent, getting into a car accident, getting a divorce & losing my job all within 3 months... My mind could no longer handle anything so it forced me to just take a break by putting my body in a full-stop mode. I only gained back my mobility once i realized that I had a lot of emotions/concerns to deal with & that just plowing through life wasn't helpful at all. 😁

I think you have to heal the issue in order to attract a healthy loving relationship...if you don’t heal it first, it will just repeat itself.
@noone-op6yg
@noone-op6yg 4 жыл бұрын
@@OhhCharliee.. Let's suppose that a person has an incurable defect, a physical property that cant be healed or changed and excludes that person from competition in the dating pool of life... It is definitely a repeating cycle of predictable outcomes in love and relationships so i must ask what is the reason for this? To take the idea one step further, i asked my self what then, is the reason of Love? The answer i received is that what we are is Love, and that relating has to begin somewhere, somehow, for a relationship to develop over time. Some of the best realationships i've experienced remain undefined and this seems to remove the pain associated with conditional circumstances that could otherwise break relationships. so as to say, I'm not perfect, and i'm okay with it because... Gosh Teal. This was like you spoke to me directly!😱. It summed it all up! I have worked as a registered nurse or 37 years. I love people! But I’m fed up with a system drowning in irrelevant administrative procedures, incoherent management and treatments based on drugs and surgery instead of teaching people to become responsable for their own health. My back pain has been there for years ans has now led into some serious issues. Meaning: my ticket out of nursing. Financial responsibilities have kept me there. Fear of lack. Lack of different things... I will listen to your video several times, as it will help me to dive deeper into this. Thank you for your work Teal!

Teal is always in touch with the dominant energies in the collective, this is why her videos are always so timely. I threw my back out at the beginning of June 2020. I didn't injure it in any way, I just woke up one day and my lower back was extremely stiff and sore and it lasted for a full week. It was Teal's video on "how to talk to your pain" that really helped me at that time in addition to a lot of stretching and refusing to stay in stasis. Thank you Teal for this video specifically addressing back pain.

My advise is find out what you love as a passion and live it as part of your life. It will give you a stronger sense of belonging and fitting in. As time goes on you will start to know you more and the fears will diminish... Think of meaningful goals to accomplish that can fill your heart space. Don't live some1 elses life . be you and be real finding out the truth.... Try to be around the people that make you feel good . if they do you wrong to much , then move on without anger or guilts... If you set a goal you really want, do not stop until the goal is reached .do not Leave important things unfinished or you will feel unwell... Just my opinion through my experience...

It made me feel sick having to go in every day. Suddenly it totally figures why it all started when it did! The points about self-bulldozing / not acknowledging ones own limits and also lack of personal support really struck a chord with me! The dominant emotion for me on that last exercise was overwhelm. Thank you, Teal! I also find that awareness helps a lot. To be aware of when in my day to day life I feel tension and to breathe into it. Breathing relaxes the body and opens you up energetically. It’s much easier to deal with stressful situations and to problem solve if I breathe consciously. Just the other day I was having an argument with my partner and I noticed tension in my body. I took a deep breath and could suddenly see a good way to proceed in the situation that I hadn’t seen before. My pattern changed because of it.

Thank you so much for this video. It hit me so much because I've been struggling with backpain for more than 6 years now (I'm 23 years old), but it was espeially bad after my car accident 3 years ago. Alot has changed in my life, 2 years ago i was in a dark place and fortunately a heartful dog found me. He safed my life as well because although all the pain, we went outside for a walk 4 times a day and I sometimes had to carry him, as he was afraid of many things. We helped each other so much, i helped him overcome his fears vise versa and he made me move everyday despite the pain. I could never express how greatful i am for my sweet dog. Since almost 2 months I am now out of a toxic relationship which lasted 5.5 years. Its hard at the moment but I realized the same as you said Teal. Since I conciously started experiencing and trying to express my pain emotionally, my back pain started to decrease every day. I now started to see my burdens for what they are. Thank you so much! God bless you Teal ❤ much love to you from Switzerland

Excellent explanation, Teal. That's exactly how I cured my backpain but it is not easy... simple principle but oh so hard to do with constant pain. Keep focus in the NOW - moment to moment awareness - imagining as if you didn't have pain and carried on. Exceptionally challenging when you are in pain but the only way out is IN. Stay with it, don't skip. It slows you down for a reason. Sometimes it just means acceptance, taking a big breath or as simple as doing the dishes. Nothing major, you go from one second to another.... and face it. No running from the pain.. xx..

Thank you Teal. I am a painter, and I love my work. At the same time, it does take control and a drive toward excellence (perfection.) So I am and stay tense. Yesterday after mudding and sanding; I was finally able to start getting some color on the walls, which is great and exciting to me. Yet by the time I got home, I was having spasms in my lower back. I did use my TENS unit; and I found myself numbing out with food and even wanting a drink, which I haven't had in some time. After all that and talking with my back I realized a point where right before I left the job site, the home owner came down to the basement where I am working. I was talking with him, and somewhere in the middle of what I was saying I began to disassociate. I lost my train of thought. I could not remember what I was saying. I know that can happen without it being disassociating, yet I felt dizzy, confused and separate, and I could not get back to my original train of thought. This makes the 3rd time recently I have realized myself disassociating. Which makes me ponder is this something new, or is it I am just now realizing it? The two times I realized last week was due to a dear friend experiencing trauma much like mine in early childhood. The home owner broke my routine. Of course he'd want to see the day's work. I do above average work and charge adequately for it, and the guys before me did a crap job. At the same time, the home owner is asking me questions about parts and a room not in the original scope as if he can't remember. Last night I realized he damned well knows and is doing it like he is paying for my time, as the work is going more quickly than expected. When no, the job is bid via footage of area to be done, not by my time. It was incredible to realize these things my back had to say and show me!

You are so right . Back pain is feeling unsupported and still keep going because you have to . I had a severe pack pain with prolapsed disk which put me out of order for a long time . Pain was trying to teach me something I could not resolve it did not know how ? Intuitively, I knew I had to something differently , but what ? It was time to grew spiritually , I had to heal emotional trauma and let go of people who were somewhat toxic. It is a way to get closer to higher self and trust God and relay on him for everything , which is hard as human we feel we have to Do and forget how to Be . Saying Yes to good things in life and learn how to say No. Control is part of it , let God takes control ! Let go ..’ cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you ‘!

I've had chronic illnesses and pain and suicidal tendencies since birth. I tried living a "normal" life despite all my struggles and then anxiety & depression was added to the mix. After I quit my job and made many lifestyle changes (stopped seeing drs, stopped driving, stopped taking meds, stopped wearing highheels and bad shoes, stopped sitting, stopped going out in public, etc) I got much better. It has been hell on eath but I've learned coping skills and am grateful for the time I have to honor my body and its limits. I still have pain 24/7 but walking helps, animals help, marijuana helps, stretching helps, massage and self-pleasure helps, and laying down is good. Thanks for addressing the emotional and mental aspects of this. Really cant wait for the next life tho.

Check out Dr. John Sarno's books on Amazon and the thousands of people who have recovered from chronic pain with his mindbody work. See tmswiki.org, Curable App, and SIRPA UK. It is the emotional work, but also getting out of the neuropathways of pain, stop fearing the pain, stop thinking about the pain etc.

I’ve had chronic back pain for a long time. Just been crying today asking for help from universe - for the only time since I found Teals videos over two years ago, did I suddenly pick up my phone and see this video - exactly twelve minutes after it was released. Ok universe. You’ve got my attention. And I am definitely not as powerless as I have been feeling at manifesting support for myself. Thank you Teal. This was a lot to process and I have been crying my head off watching this. Just realised the reason I have had excruciating back pain that made me suicidal for years was because I don’t really want to go back into the world as it is, the hostile /jarring/miserable place when kind people are quiet and most humans I’ve met are f*cked up nasty aggressive folks who love to abuse me as my own parents did. My back is protecting me from being a scapegoat to the world - I have often felt too soft/kind/unprepared for people’s horrible shadows and abuse because I don’t know how to function that way and feel I have no armour to stop them from projecting onto me and triggering my own trauma (which of course I don’t use to abuse others but which tortures me). How do I even resolve the unworkability of a lifetime of terror of other people attacking me anytime I try to have hope in life/others? There’s too much darkness. I have done SO MUCH work healing myself but I just do NOT want to exist in this world the way it is. I don’t fit in anywhere, have no family to depend on and have had my spirit broken (and back too, ha!) so severely that even in moments of calm I look around and wish I belonged to another species, that treated each other more kindly. Either way, thanks for this Teal. I feel you are one of the very very very few people in my reality (even though I don’t know you Personally) who understands severe trauma of being born to parents who actively/ passively severely abused me and have set me up for many many horrific incidents that came later. I have done much hard work to improve my vibration but I do feel hopeless to ever feeling safe in this world and having the support I need to want to stick around and experience some few years of joy and peace - and to my back ever being fully healed I sometimes wish I could just close my eyes and leave. Too much contrast has filled me with despair that I will never find my tribe. I wish to be indifferent to it all but don’t know how to. I shall try and contemplate on the stuff you said in your video. I feel such deep grief and heaviness as I write this comment - time to go release this as best as I can. 🙏🏼🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes, but I would ad, stretch, not with the intent to "stretch" as if you need to tenderize your meat muscles. There is no evidence that actual muscle lengething alleviates pain, and I have seen many people stretch too aggressively trying to "fix" their imbalances and tight muscles. Rather stretch gently combined with very slow relaxed breath with the intent to really FEEL what your body is asking of you. Let your intuition guide you and see what emotions come up as your gradually delve into the deeper stretching. Just my opinion of course but remember even a tight muscle is tight for a reason. Arbitrarily stretching our muscles into oblivion isn't really paying respect to very nuanced neuromuscular system. In addition sometimes basic strength training can improve your bodies feeling of confidence and safety and as a result muscles that were tight begin to relax and let go automatically. Just my opinion of course, this topic is my passion and I was thrilled to see Teal make a video about it.
