Like everyone else already commented. They found all the problems. The truck pull would also have been more effective if he was pulling in line with the face cut. Notch should have been at ground level. He gave up about 5 feet of MA. I found it comical that these clowns thought they could yank it over without a back cut. I was waiting for the hinge to fail or the cobbled together pull line to snap. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Gotta go now. I’ve got an opportunity to navigate a cargo ship into her berth. Then I’m gonna set a lap record in a formula 1 car.
@springer-qb4dv Жыл бұрын
Yes these guys did it rather poorly. But tree cutting isn't rocket science. It's simple engineering problem. As such any smart person can take down an tree if he factors in enough margin of safety and has adequate equipment to do it. It does take years of experience to safely climb a tree, but tree climbing is not necessary unless tree is located in such confined area that it cannot be felled directly.

Let me explain my technique for dropping a tree this close to the house. I get on the phone and call somebody who knows what they're doing. I'm an amateur at best, know how to drop a tree but some things are best left to the pros. Sad thing is, this guy will eventually destroy something, hurt or kill himself thinking he's all that.
@springer-qb4dv Жыл бұрын
You can cut down the tree close to house if you have enough multiple strong ropes secured high enough up the tree to ensure it will not fall in wrong direction. Single rope low on the trunk like in this video is totally inadequate. It's not rocket science. Only tree that really require pros are those which are extremely massive and are in very confined space as to require cutting it piece meal from the top.

This is not how to safely and properly cust down a tree. That tree could easily see saw back and pull that truck with it and land on the house. That tree probably ways about 40000 pounds.
@Jason-wc3fh5 жыл бұрын
gravity pulls down, not backwards and on angles. The truck with the rope is more then enough to gives this tree enough leverage to not fall on the house, which is what happened here... How do you think the pyramids and stonehenge was made?
