Tree Fell on a House. How to Remove tree without a crane.

Prior Tree Service company's told the customer this removal was not possible without a Crane. We proved that notorious statement wrong again. Anything is possible . Took about 5 hours. Storm caused this tulip poplar tree too fall onto the customers house, we removed the tree by span rigging from neighboring trees.

This is a great comment. I love technical rigging, it's what keeps me passionate. Other work bores me, you know every rigging situation is different. Each tree removal is like a fingerprint, none are the same. Planning out each situation gets my gears going, sometimes it leads to fancy new gear, and then you wind up not even using some of it but it will wind up being useful for lots of other jobs.

Greetings and compliments from England - lovely job, thoughtfully planned, well executed. I have a question and an observation. Q: Did you & the ground crew talk through the entire plan before starting, or explain each step as it was arrived at? There are pros & cons to each approach. The observation is that after your (spotless) cleanup of the several back yards, it was really noticeable how lifeless - sterile even - they were. Nature, bursting with interest and variety just beyond their back fences (save for the bit now blown down!) but these people appeared not to want any of the natural world INSIDE, and close to them. This attitude is catching on in England too.
@bradstreeservicellc2894
@bradstreeservicellc2894 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes, me and the crew did make a plan prior to starting, it doesn't always go exactly according to the plan, but we always execute the task. You are right, alot of people now a days, feel bothered or scared of trees that are within close proximity of the house. I have been studying alot more into tree health and treatment. As well as properly planting new trees and ensuring a healthy life from the start

Great job! I helped a guy for a couple years while he was getting his tree service up and running. Most people don't have a clue the money that it cost for the equipment that's involved. Worst one we had was a huge maple that fell on a church. They had to get a crane for it. I'm just to old anymore and hung it up last year, but I still cut firewood.

Really impresive work indeed! Just one thought, maybe it would be less violent if the facecut on the "big cut" was made facing more uppwards, and hopefully it would break slowly instead of that snap? Anyway, always easy sitting here on youtube afterward and commeting, this is true profesionalls in work, 5/5! /Swedish tree feller/tree climber

Thank you very much! And yes, I think that if the face cut was in line with the rigging point, the fiber may have held longer. However my only reason for notching it slightly left rather then upwards, was to direct the piece away from myself. It's nice to get feedback from other climbers, this youtube thig is pretty cool🤙

@thewhiteknight02 As a contract climber could you tell me why his insurance would even think about dropping him? Other than a single cut without being double tied in? And your qualifications sir? Even then with the drop of the log from resting and a high tie in if he would of stayed double tied in he would of been pulled possibly hurting himself more? Good work Brad. Liked the ingenuity and patience for your craft and not charging cost of unneeded crane. Stay humble and work hard!
