The 034SPI app allows users to configure up to 3 pages worth of dial, graph, and text data displays to view real-time performance data of their drivetrain! Users can select from dozens of defined variables such as Boost, Lambda, Ignition Timing, Knock, IATs, and many more!
For those looking to record this data for further diagnostic review, 034SPI also offers mobile datalogging! Using predefined logging definitions, 034SPI will record datalogs directly to the application and allow for seamless uploading of them to the 034Motorsport server for our tuning team to view and advise. Great vid. I just upgraded to the new adapter and it works great! The only thing I can think of that would make it better would be Apple CarPlay support!! Being able to see the dashboard through the MMI screen would be awesome!! is that update on your roadmap at all? Cheers!

is there a way to change the units of measurement? for example... what is 1000 unknown units of boost in something more familiar, say, PSI?

Boost is currently measured in kpa/mbar (millibar) as that is how the ECU reads boost internally. Units of measure on the data displays are currently locked to the units that are used within the ECU, but a later update of the app will allow users to select their preferred unit of measure. In the meantime, think of it as you broadenign your metric horizons and thinking more like an ECU!

When doing the data log pull, do we still do a 3rd gear WOT pull from 2,000 rpm to redline? Should we submit a couple back to back pulls to see how the system is recovering or is just 1 run enough typically to measure the health of the vehicle?

Depending on what it is you are aiming to have examined, the desired logs may change. We recommend you reach out to our tuning team before sending logs in explaining what you are looking to have checked so they can provide guidance on what logs to capture. Email tuning@034motorsport.com

To view the gauges and to datalog does the phone need an internet connection (I know it will need one to actually send the logs)?? I want to use an old iPhone I have sitting around instead of my primary one. Also, can you configure warnings with the gauges?

They did say during the live show that you will need to be connected to the internet either by Cell or WIFI. They also said they are working on making it standalone and not need an internet connection but it's not capable of that yet. I would assume even standalone it would have to connect at some point to download updated files.

We will have offline gauge views available in upcoming updates. Currently you will need active internet connection to access data gauges and to perform data logs.

After taking a data log how do I view it? When I click it all I see is the data log details but where can I see the actual data that was being logged.

Data logs cannot currently be viewed from the app. Please submit your data log to us and email us at tuning@034motorsport.com for further assistance!

How to review those logs yourself? Can desktop app be compatible with those logs?

The desktop program and 034SPI are completely different programs and do not overlap outside of the fact that they share the same internal server. When you choose the option to send logs to 034, the log file is attached in the email confirmation to you. You can download and review from there if you please, but we do not currently have a user-interface for datalog viewing. This is something we are working on.

Is there a way to view your data logs without sending you a file? How can I get the data file without emailing it to you? I don’t want to spam your inbox with logs that I don’t need to bother you with.
