Auditioning regularly and not getting any positive responses?
It can be tough!
Dealing with rejection is one of the most difficult elements of being an actor. But hopefully this video will help you to reframe the way you look at rejection and lead to a more positive outlook when it comes to auditioning.

The community is genuinely hard for me because even with the training I walked out of it without any friends in the industry. I’m on the spectrum so it made quite hard to make friends. I realise just how important it is and I think I have to do something about it. This is great stuff, keep it up!

Glad the video was helpful Roy. Community is definitely important but it can take time to connect with other actors. Don’t give up and I’m sure you will find a great group of actors to connect with soon!

Really appreciate the suggestion. Though my general advice is not to worry too much about facial expressions. They will take care of themselves when the acting is truthful.

Thank you so much! Great to have you in the community. Our focus is definitely just on acting but I do think all forms of rejection are incredibly difficult. And actors generally are incredibly sensitive people so they often take rejection hard in all areas of life. Many of the things I talked about can definitely be applied to day to day life as well!
