From the horror stories I’ve been told about mod motors, you made that look easy man. Most dudes would have just said, yeah I didn’t have time film it all but it’s together now and ready to go in the car. For a KZfaqr that’s just a normal dude like the rest of us, your doing an awesome job my friend.

I’ll be watching this a couple more times through before I put the block back together sometime in the coming months. My bad on the late reply, busy as heck at work and my daily driver has been full of shenanigans and problems. Not sure what would it be with 38cc... do you know? Also, in regards of this video how do you know what degrees you are looking for to set up the cams.? I am running the trick flow track-max cams. @@crownvictorialifestyle4421 Run your car not your mouth man. I've gone faster on stock NPI parts than your lead sled Vic is gunna do with even 3x the budget. I sell used parts and have been into modulars for a lot of years so forgive me for not knowin about a modular piston stop tool (which I even thanked the man for posting about). I guess having to use a micrometer for tdc is bordeline caveman to you. As for the actual math which you hunted me out for the third time over, the base circle of the lobe must be reduced to gain lift beyond .550 at the valve. That's not a guess, it is fact. I never said it cannot be used. Lowering base circle only adds to the space compensated by the slow bleed lash adjusters as stock on pi(vs fast bleed downs in NPI like I have which is entirely why this conversation mattered in the first place). The lash adjuster doesn't take up lash instantly and having less base circle means when they do see oil pressure, they are becoming solid up further on the lobes ramp meaning your low lift and duration values are not being fully put the valve. You do not see full lift or duration unless the lash adjuster is solid on the rise of the lobe. I won't go as far as to say it's detrimental but it certainly messes with the geometry of an otherwise maintenance free valvetrain and can likely lead to excessive wear. I also know there no way in hell your fitting .575 lift on even 220° duration at .050 without flycuts which 99% of people dont want to do on budget pi motors anyways so it's just a scenario anyways. I'd bet you Andrew runs a much higher viscosity oil than stock which will help the adjuster pump solid faster. There's no right or wrong answer and try not to get so offended on behalf of me next time.

Hey Andrew I have a question I hope you can help me with. So I got a 96 mustang gt, the motor have forged rotating assembly. Npi heads and intake. The pistons are a true flat top piston. I got the car with no specs on the build but doing research I see that flat top pistons with not relieve cut outs for the valves gives the motor a 10.99.1 compression ratio. That explains the reason I have to run premium fuel. Now my question is would I be safe to run a blower or turbo? My end goal is at least 450wrhp but if like 500rwhp if possible. Any advice?
