Dang, loved your work on d3. Had no idea you had a youtube channel. Two ideas came to my mind watching this: 1. I just hardcore got into pokemon go. The "disclosure" step is certainly missing from that game. Perhaps on purpose. They want players to meet in person. But it's also hard to meet players in person if you cant message each other to coordinate such meetings or learn more about those people. I wish there was a way to opt into communicating with others through the app. 2. Wow's m+ system has grown increasingly toxic, even though it has, or at least has the potential to have, all 4 points in this video. I think in this case challenging content can disintegrate the interest of playing with others and forming friendships if the challenging content is too punitive. It seems like there could be a lot of solutions to fix this problem while also keeping it challenging, like letting all healers have a brez and uncapping the amount of brezzes to be used on raids, or not having keys devalue if you fail a key.

Thank you for the inspiration. I truly appreciate the calm style of your content. ☀ I'm currently researching for a passion project that aims to develop an application promoting empathy, with the ultimate goal of fostering more compassionate, sustainable lifestyles, drawing people closer together, and helping us recognize our commonalities. Having fallen in love with gaming 32 years ago, I firmly believe in its power to unite people. There's nothing quite like the exhilaration of overcoming a formidable enemy together and connecting with individuals we might never encounter in the outside world. Gaming offers a unique space where we can set biases aside and rally around a shared objective. I wonder what aspects of gaming we can translate into other areas of our lives to create similar connections and unity? 🤔

Hi Geli, what an inspirational thought. When gaming brings people together, forges friendships, and helps people learn commonalities it really does feel like gaming at its best.
