Hello world, In this video, I'll show you how to create web or strings like wallpaper background in Adobe Illustrator. Using Subtle Drop shadow & gradient brings realism. It is very simple yet eye soothing. Literally, I stared at it for a minute after it had done.
I have it poster or banner look by adding some words.
Haha, "Meta Genetics Network" :D I don't know how it got into my brain. But It suits it. If you enjoyed the process, It is your turn to form some webs.

That looks actually great! It could be also nice to overlay different storke with one another, to visualize random connections. But anyway, great tut!

Goto View > Raster Effects > Increase PPI to 150 or more.

But .... have you ever observe a leather texture on sofa, wallet,etc ? i once find a tutorial about how to make it in illistrator but it is a blog, i need the video one so that i can understand it. It has a high price on the keyword (the white texture background).if you maka the video, I'm pretty sure you'll get more views

Thanks for appreciation! ☺ Select all the lines you want > duplicate as backup > Object Menu > Pattern > Make. There you will need to tweak "pattern options" & adjust paths to get it seamless.

Is your top layer a "masking" layer that is hiding the ends of the lines when they run off the artboard?

yes..and no :D Here is the way to do that: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mtiIma9irZOziX0.html I don't use clipping mask cause that doesn't work the way we need.

When you export, check Include Artboards, and it'll solve your problem
