The purpose of this video is to break down the various stressors, or variables, that go into working out. Just had Amazon deliver my Stevia liquid, chia seed and MCT oil. My almond flour is coming tomorrow. I've already done a kitchen 'audit' and cleared the bad stuff out. I've designated a full cupboard for keto friendly stuff. Coconut cream, turmeric, snack stuff like dark chocolate, walnuts, Brazil nuts and obviously pork scratchings 😂(rinds to my US friends, I'm in the UK). Also there are plenty of herbs and seasonings in there. Dill to put on my salmon etc. There's lots more stuff, I'll need another spare cupboard, I've already had to put my coconut milk and free range full fat mayo in a different cupboard. Plus I train 4-5 days cardio of around 40 minutes (around 6-7km) running my local trails. I'm even having the freezing cold shower straight after..... Jeez. I'll get into weight training later, I've never been drawn to it.

@enkiofsumer8374 4 жыл бұрын
@@jojomelon7309 . Hi Irma ib, as a beginner I'm very happy to help you get started. Bear in mind I'm not fully educated on this lifestyle yet, so firstly I'd recommend that you also follow 'ketoKamp (Ben Aziidi). You can subscribe to receive emails to keep you motivated, he also responds to any emails you send him. Then there's 'Flav City' which is the channel of Thomas's friend Ben, who you may have seen on video with him on their shopping exploits, he and his wife do amazing keto and paleo recipes and show you 'live' step by step cooking. The 2 channels combined are excellent (Thomas for the science behind his do's and don'ts and Be for the recipes). Also I'd recommend cutting the carbs down slowly over a couple of weeks, alter the fats gradually (for example, when you've used up your fat free milk, light butter/spread, vegetable and cooking oils, snacks and treats etc. replace them with the good fats. And whilst you are doing this, start an exercise regime. Start with a 10 minute walk after your morning tea/coffee but before breakfast, but reverse this in the evening and walk AFTER your meal. And have a coffee as soon as you get back to help maintain the fat burning process. Believe me, after a while you'll be doing 30 minutes, then an hour, and eventually you'll naturally start to think "you know what, I think I'd like to start jogging" trust me, that happens). During this period watch the KZfaq videos and you'll start to get it. There's also another great site that the name escapes me, but once you subscribe to Thomas Delauer, and flav city and ketokamp the KZfaq algorithm will recommend similar channels. One is Dr(something) and he's also very good. So follow these tips and I'm sure you'll be fine. I hope this helps, but please understand that everyone is different so what works for one doesn't work for all. I'm 50, and within two weeks of watching these videos I completed a 72hr+ fast and felt great after (I plan to do this once a month at the end of the month) I'm currently doing intermittent fasting , which I find very easy. My last meal was at 4pm yesterday, I'm having a black coffee now. It's 9am almost here in the UK so I could be having breakfast right now on the 16/8 fast, but I don't feel hungry, so I've added some salt, turmeric powder, ginger powder, MCT oil and a single drop of Stevia to the coffee. I've also taken Magnesium, potassium and chromium supplements in pill form, to keep my natural nutrients up. This is VERY important, especially when fasting. And don't forget plenty of water, with a good quality salt like Himalayan pink salt (full of minerals). If I can be any further help feel free to contact me, because another big help to some people can be to have someone to turn to. And as ridiculous as this sounds, me writing this out had taken my mind off of eating and extended my fast for another 20 minutes lol.

I'm so happy and healthy. But, I want to tighten my stomach and get some glute muscles. I don't want to change clothing size, just sculpt. I was looking forward to seeing the video on spot reduction and reviewing your earlier presentation on that topic. This is so exciting! Best part, I'm inspiring women I meet every day! I'm a singer. In my home town we have a gym but it`s always a big question of quality training programm. I remember very end of 80s we had special aerobics TV programms with Jane Fonda then replaced by local ones as that was easy to turn on TV and just doing it home. At my teenage I was regenerating myself from a hard kydneys disease as phyelonephritis. So frankly I`m looking for that kind of programms on KZfaq now but as I`ve said it is pretty hard to fiind the right thing. Thank you again!

The concept to do fewer sets more often (instead of going to your max and "one more") is similar to what Pavel Tsatsouline, Joe Rogan et al have been advocating. Like Thomas said, no science -- but anecdotal. IMO, solid advice. It's a paradigm change for sure. Never train to your MAX, but just short of it...

The thing is it`s pretty hard to understand what kind if excercises to do now for muscle building if I want to do it at home for example. In my past of 90s I used to do aerobics complex so that was simple I came to training and there was a ready set of excercises for 40 min with music and you just repeat it. But now I am a bit confused even with all those tips you give it is pretty hard to find the right way of training. We need smth like box set of excercises for men and women I believe. I travel for work. Staying in hotels during the week, I’m starting intermittent fasting but I can’t really cook, just have a microwave. Any advice for keeping it simple while living out of hotels two weeks out of the month?

Hi Thomas, In one of your IF videos for women, you mentioned that women shouldn't fast everyday. How about everyday 12/12 IF routine? Thanks!

Quick question, not related to the video, but I’m a personal/Nutrition coach aspiring to become a dietitian(unrelated lol) but I’ve been keto for over 2 years and about to implement carbs back into my lifestyle for mainly training and performance reasons to maximize my gainz, I’m doing keto still two weeks and carb up one week after and also putting in two vegan days for optimum nutrition, I’m doing all this to use ketos insulin sensitivity to gain the upper hand when taking in carbs. Just want to know your thoughts or if you would change anything

Thomas....I am worried about eating and exercising in harmony just isn't enough. I think I am now in full menopause and I think that my hormones need controlled for me to see any benefits regardless of what I do. Can you do a video on this for women? How can we battle the issue of hormones stopping the weight loss effort?

Blood flow restriction bands are not usable for keto dieters because of very lettle amount of lactose is produced during resistance trining in the absence of glycogen, I understand. How am I wrong?

On keto diet we don't have glycogen in muscles. There is no possibility to get enegy from glycogen. Muscles can't take energy from fatty acids in blood during anaerobic workout. I take MCT oil before workout and getting more strength to lift weights.

Hello Thomas, i like how you explained the importance and the different ways to stress a muscle, however i don’t think that training on an 80% rpe everyday on all the muscles with only 1 muscle with 100% rpe is an efficient method, and that’s my personal opinion, and i’m saying that based on the fact that it’s hard to stress a muscle and get it to hypertrophy in 4 or 5 sets, specially if they are all done on the same exercise, cz you won’t activate all the muscle fibers. And let’s say you did get to hypertrophy and you stressed the muscle, the next day you won’t be able to preform with 80% rpe since the muscle need to recover, and it’s not like it’s an active recovery kind of situation, Cz it’s between 2 different workouts. It might be a great workout method for someone on steroids since their muscle recovery is waaayy faster but i’m pretty sure that all of us(your subscribers) are naturals who are looking for the best ways to improve our bodies without anabolic steroids or other... Respect man, Let me know what you think.

Thomas, I know this will get lost in the flood of comments but, I was wondering that if I have ADHD and I take a stimulant medication during my intermittent fast, will that mess it up in any sort of way? I take it in the early morning during my fast by the way.

I have a question that I have had for about forever. I apologize that it isn’t directly related to this video. Can ACV pills substitute for actual Apple Cider Vinegar? Although I know Braggs is the best, I have bought several kinds over the years just hoping I can get one down. My issue is with both the smell and the taste. I haven’t found a way to ask them. Please, if anyone out there knows if the pills will give positive effects, please let me know. Thomas DeLauer if you’re out there..please
