Hope this is helpful. Check scale length and alignment and don’t forget the ground wire under the bridge. It’s no fun to take it back apart after it’s been all set up. Thanks for watching. Have a great day. 👍✌️

Vintage style wins! Your videos help me so much, thanks for making them simple and easy to understand, with actual demonstrations of how to do the work.

I detest those vintage saddles. I put individual saddles on all my Teles. It's impossible to get the intonation correct with those vintage saddles. You can get individuals that are brass too, or nickel plated brass even. Sometimes it's better to go with steel saddles though. Just depends.

Yea the intonation is always the one thing that is a set back. Watched a good video from ASK ZAC the different tones you can get from Telecaster bridges. He knows a lot about Telecasters that’s his thing. Thanks for watching and the comment. 👍✌️

I have a question for you. Have you tried the bridge with individual saddles and the bridge plate is solid brass covered in silver finish. I was thinking about that bridge as an option.

@@GuitarsModsMusic I haven't yet. But that is the next mod for my Frankentele, I think. It is fairly bright and bitey...chop your head off bright. I'm hoping the solid brass plate and saddles will tame those highs a bit. I tried individual brass saddles but that didn't tame it much. It's on its 4th set of pickups now. The current ones are pretty good but very bright on this particular Tele. Ash body, maple neck, top load bridge, Fender locking tuners. I'm thinking about adding a string-through brass plate with individual brass saddles, Schaller tuners and maybe even going to a rosewood fretboard to tame the pups. Schaller tuners are heavier and don't resonate like the Fender tuners do. Those should soak up a bit of the high end. Hopefully not too much. I'm looking for that tone that is reminiscent of a steel guitar..... The key is to only change 1 thing at a time. Otherwise a person could go to far and then you're trying to figure out how to brighten it back up..... Dang guitar pickers are NEVER satisfied..,lol. Maybe by the time my arthritis catches up with me, I'll have it figured out?

Good advice change one thing at a time. I have a traditional Tele that I haven’t changed anything on. But the one im building is for messing around. It will have vintage inspired rail pickups and vintage inspired electronics. Putting a lot of brass on it. I don’t think being satisfied is possible. I’ve got arthritis in my hands really bad. That’s One of the reasons we moved to Florida. The cold weather in Illinois was killing me. I still manage around the fretboard but I don’t have much speed anymore. Some chords I can’t grab anymore I have to cheat them. But it is what it is just have to deal with it. Nice talking with you thanks.

I have 2 Teles. An Elite from 2018 with noiseless pups and S1 switching. Not a fan if the noiseless pups. I have a set on order from Monty's guitars ('68s) in England that I'm hoping will "fix" that axe. My Frankentele is a standard Squier body and neck with Fender Texas Teles and a noiseless Strat middle pup. I replaced all the pots, caps, switches and wires. That is the bright one. To help with the arthritis, I stretch my finger, arms shoulders and upper back every day. Before I play, I roll on some Max Freeze (Walmart) onto the back of my hands. I have some slightly limited range of motion but I can stiil play everything that I could play 20 years ago...with about 15 minutes of warm-up to get my joints "oiled up". I've also discovered that good posture while playing is very important. I'm 58 now with 41 years of picking under my belt. I hope I can get another 20.

Yes they call the covers that go over bridges ash trays. I have one on my 1964 GL Stiles. The Stiles also has an ash tray type bridge similar to a telecaster only very sharp on the edges and with out a pickup insert. 👍✌️
