Two suggestions: Use anti-seize compound on plug threads. Anytime you take the the air cleaner off the throttle body or carburetor place a clean cloth over it so nothing accidentally drops in there it can same you an immense hassle.

Ohh..... Long Time No See!! Its bin like a year. Make sure you keep posting videos now to compensate for the years gap. Also nice video very informative. Wanted to mention that you tune up the boat every 4 years and i would beg to differ. On any Mercruiser manual it says to tune up the engine every 100 hours or year which every comes first. Even if the engine is fuel injected or carburetor. Also i would go ahead and replace those risers and manifolds because they need to be replaced every 4 years indeed. I dont know if you have done that already but make sure you do it and get it on video (will attract a lot of views!!!). And just a tip, when you upload the videos on here and put a title on them i would make it more detailed (ex: Mercruiser 5.0 Fuel Injected Tune Up would be a good one). Just trying to help out. And please never leave for a year again because you are one of the best boating howto channels on youtube and a lot of people miss out on a lot of stuff! Good luck and thanks for the video Dennis

Thanks for sharing you're knowledge helping people like myself to do it without having to hire a mechanic. Although I'm a firm believer in skilled trades, knowing there invaluable when you need them. This type of install I feel I might be able to accomplish on my own, leaving the big jobs to the experts. Which may include this one. Will see. Thank you..

Hey Eddie thank you for your videos. I have a 1998 Sea Ray 215 EC It starts up and runs for about 30 Seconds then dies. It like to be started while choked! Any idea's> Its hard to run a big boat when the engine is dying THank you

Wow...year 2012 and you still have rotor and distributor on the boats?? That really bugs me that car manufacturers have moved to fuel injection and electronic adjustment of idle, timing, etc...but Mercury is still stuck in the 18th century!!! And of course spark plug wires?? What is that? They should have been LOOOONG gone!Come one Murcury marine, move to the 21st century!!! This is sooo ridicules!
