I bought this bike a month ago after having not ridden a motorcycle for 33 years. My last bike was a 1978 Suzuki TS250. It's incredible how quickly the X300 helped me get my confidence back. I never stalled it once on my 1st ride home in traffic!

The X-300 really is a lot of fun for a little adventure bike. My son and I just did 2500 kms in outback Australia and it didn't have any issues and handled the dirt sections with ease on TKC80s.

It's good! I would say the same thing he said about the 300 versys is applicable to the 500X, It's absolutely great on the street, decent on highway (above 75mph / 120kmh slight vibration, and the lightness of the bike is felt when passing 18wheelers on fwy) besides that, Im in love with my little 500X. Definitely needed upgraded Tires for dirt, windscreen for HWY use, and crash bars / engine bars for when you drop it!

Your vids are among the most enjoyable moto vids available. You use one, maybe 2 cameras (same as many moto vloggers) you have in-helmet sound (same as many moto vloggers) but crucially, it's not just about riding up and down freeways, swearing and laughing with such a high pitched 12 yo girl laugh that it buggers the sound (most moto vloggers). Please advise the rear chain sproket you mention in the review to replace the original in this bike to increase the torque. You mention something about two or three more dents... Thanks.

what´s your opinion on the CSC RX3 ? i was surprized that you put it along the Honda,and BMW in your comment. here in Argentina the CSC RX3 is branded "Corven Touring 250" and they sell it without Fuel inyection but it´s very popular for touring with low budget since there are still few other bikes in that segment.

Ok I'm very late to this video. But I recently bought a Versys-x 300, I am a total noob to doughnuts but it seems fun to learn! I'm wondering about how many revs before you dump the clutch? "Building up the revs" made me think of like 9000 rpm on this bike before you get any torque, but it sorta looks like he dumps the clutch already at about 4000 in this video. Seems nicer if that's enough. I don't wanna do too little like he says, but not way too much either. Especially since I have kinda short legs and the bike is a bit tall and heavy for me. Thanks, if anyone sees this and happens to know!

Got myself a Honda CB500x, she has kenda big block knobbies on her and can really move both on and offroad. Throw in a stage 3 Rally Raid kit, and a spare gas tank, you have yourself a fully capable adventure touring bike.

Hey Ryan, could you maybe invite a small person on to do a video about best helmets for small riders? Us tiny people are sick of the same giant shells with extra padding. Having a shell that is too big for my body proportions makes shoulder checks and long distance riding harder than it should be. I think it would be a cool vid! thanks for considering!
