In this video we share with you our process for the terrazzo flooring we did at our project in Korle Gonno. The process is quite simple and we also let you understand why we chose terrazzo over regular tiles.

@Jacobwestgh2 жыл бұрын
It is relative. In some instances, tiles may be more expensive and in others terrazzo. Also the cost of the tiles you choose will also affect the cost. We will be doing a video on this in the coming days with a more comprehensive breakdown of the two.

Water molecules don't expand... They move more and get further from eachother (they become ever so slightly more gas-like if that makes sense)
@MJM52 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, they need more space.

nice work. But doesnt all that water flooded before pouring the terrazzo make the mix weak?
@alexmontego31152 жыл бұрын
i does this job,the mix gets dry quickly if you dont pour enough water.that means it will be difficult for you to level up when rolling since the cast will be dried up or can cost you alot of time
@Lafemmefutile2 жыл бұрын
Cement actually dries harder when it’s very wet. The water cures the mix.
@freestylmx3112 жыл бұрын
@Thoughts 99 the more water you add to cement the weaker it becomes
@jamescoleakaericunderwood25032 жыл бұрын
@@freestylmx311 the water is needed for the cement to make a proper bond...it also aids in the curing process ...water pulls it together as it evaporates.. Terrazzo artisan for 34 years
@jamescoleakaericunderwood25032 жыл бұрын
@@alexmontego3115 Hi Alex.. after flooding the floor we always make a slurry with cement then pour the Terrazzo... This reduces color loss.. too much water will weaken the pigment when using just water...food for thought...

My terrazzo was done and it was not a good job. My question is can it be completely redone?
@Jacobwestgh2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the work can be redone. The only issue would be to break the floor to remove the old terrazzo work and then redo it. The terrazzo is quite hard so cutting it is a job in itself.

I’m confused. I though moisture was the number one enemy for terrazzo flooring. Also those measuring lines in my opinion are unsightly. One uneven surface / finish would have been great. Apart from that great job and presentation. Thanks
